Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
Hey all. Been a lurker for some time and have picked up tons of good info around here. Another board I found has some interesting last minute artist rumors floating around. Not sure where this is coming from. Here's the link. funhouserock.com/funhouse/blab/forumdisplay.php?f=7
Another rumor I've heard is that members of My Morning Jacket will step in to play with Bobby Bare Jr. in a really small cafe stage. It might even be the Troo Music Cafe.
Watch. I'll leave Petty early to get a spot for MMJ, and Pearl Jam will come out. I don't know though. I've just got this feeling that Eddie's gonna be there in some form. I doubt the whole band. But I could totally see Eddie showin up, maybe even for MMJ.
I've also heard Bob Dylan likes to make appearances. I was hopeful of maybe Dave showing, but alas he's in upstate NY
Any other possibles?
Also, this is my first one, and we're leaving DC Thrs at 5:30, anyone have a guesstimate for some New England type drivers (not Massholes, but still somewhat pushy of the traffic patterns hearding down)
Lastly, the Bonnaroo website has been giving reccomendations on ways to reduce traffic, do you think that's because they're really trying to limit it?
i think that on next tuesday when we get back the pearl jammers are going to be speculating on if they will call us all back the next weekend for a pj show. you guys are persistent. ill give ya that.

Just take a look at the economics.
The damm thing sold out without them.
Here's what we need to do next year: Nobody buy tickets til, like, mid-MAY! Scare the crap out of em so they load up the bill.
Some fests I've heard about have much beefier bills than this year's 'roo. No offense to Elvis Costello, but I didn't know he was in so much demand that he should be headlining the biggest music festival in the world.

The thing with the other festivals is that their sets(Coachella,Lollaplooza, and ACL to name a few) are not as long as the ones Bonnaroo put on. That is one of the big attractions for me persoannly. That and the late night shows are usually off the hook.
Elvis Costello, The Neville Bros, Dr. John, Dumpstaphunk et al are all part of the (long overdue) tribute to NOLA that Bonnaroo is putting on on Saturday. Even though I don't have plans to see Costello or the Nevilles, I do think it's high time superfly brought a piece of Jazz Fest to the Roo. After all, without Jazz Fest, there is no Superfly, and without Superfly there is no Roo.
This rumor keeps on coming back and coming back. As cool as it would be if it were true, I agreewith the statement that Pearl Jam is far too big a band to show up unannounced. Them & Petty would be great though. What a way to warm up for thier tour together.

Anyways, sorry to get off topic.
Totally agree with this statement. Look at the Coachella schedule for this year. Nearly every band (even the headliners) gets 50 minutes. 50 minutes! At Bonnaroo, you're basically getting a typical, full set from every band. Most bands don't even play for an hour and a half when they headline their own tours.

As a band Pearl Jam is far too big to show up unannounced, but Eddie Vedder by himself coming out and singing a few songs with Petty or MMJ isn't that farfetched.
What happens if my tee shot lands on a bird's back and he carries it out of bounds but then is attacked by a larger bird who grabs the ball and drops it in the hole? Is that still a hole in one? 'Cause that's how I'm gonna play it.

Just the way I look at it. I plan on seeing both Petty and MMJ so I hope Ed does make a surprise appearance with either of them.

$14.5 mill gross...they can affawd it.
Saying no offense before you go and say something like that doesn't make it any less ignorant. The organizers realize how influential and important Elvis has been to music in the last 30 years. If Elvis Costello is not worthy to "headline" the biggest music fest in the world, who is? Not Trey or Fish or Phil Lesh because none of them are on the same level as Elvis and none of them have done as much for Rock and Roll. Granted there are some bigger names and some who have had bigger impact, but you can't have Dylan every year, you can't Ressurect Hendrix, and I am not holding my breath for a Beatles reunion. So open your mind and check out Elvis' Show, he will impress!
