who caught? who didn't/ i saw the first part but didn't stay, sad that i missed Darkside and parts of the wall, who can tell me exactly what Pink Floyd songs they played
man you shold have stayed. that was the greatest show in history imo. if i remember correctyl those are the only two flyd songs they played. the lights were fuc.king amazing at that show. i thoguht the lights at that show were better then any of the headliners.
I walked away from MMJ to UM and was not digging Umphreyh's at all. MMJ RIPPED it up, but UM wasn't all that great imo. I left and came back when Bisco was on and thought they fucking KILLED it.
damn dude. im not sure how that is possible. that was the fiercest show i have ever witnessed. bisco crushed it too. but umphreys was just as good. unbeliveable! to each thier own though. i also though the umph bisco show had the best glow sticks of the weekend. definetly the best lighting too
I thought My Morning Jacket and Disco Biscuits stole the show on Friday night. I saw some every band late night friday, and I thought Umphrey's was the weakest link. I didn't expect that. I expected them to be in the top 2 or 3 friday but I just wasn't feeling it. MMJ really f*cking killed it, and walking away from MMJ to UM may have been my problem. It was like night and day in terms of ferocity and energy.

Man I have seen the UM well over 10 times now and that was a sick sick sick show plus the handoff with joe russo playing drums on brain damage and the guys from disco was great. I'm not a big hip-hop fan and i thought MMJ's Z was one of the most overrated cd's I have ever heard so it made my decision easy and boy what a great decision but I thought the biscuits light show topped UM's and they had me moving and groovin all night.( I did walk by MMJ's tent and to be fair from what I heard I was kinda digging it but because I wasn't a big fan of their new cd I decided to keep walking.)

damn i totally forgot about the baby your a rich man. that was awesome. nuts i forgot half of the floyd they did too. but its all coming back to me as i read it. bringin a huge smile to my face what a show. man they are flawless when they do floyd. the whole thing was awesome. we were like 40 feet in front of the tents sign with the bands who were playing there on it. right by the trash cans. we had lots of room and it was the wildest dance party i have ever been a part of. people were rockin out on the trashcans for a better view. it was awesome. we had a ton of people out there all gettting down together. what a killer time!!!!! and then we all passed out around the trash cans. everyonce in a while i would see a flash and look up to see someone taking a pic of all 20 or so of us passed out around the trash cans that is a night i will remember for the rest of my life and that will go down as a legendary show in rock history. in my opinion anyways

Actually Joe Russo only came out and was singing backing vocals I think,it says in the Bonnaroo Beacon actually. I'm pretty sure the lead singer from Brother's Past came out and sang eclipse too.

Anybody who saw this show also see the Umphrey's latenight in '04? Just wondering how they compare. I saw a few of the webcasts and Umphrey's was the best that I saw but thats hardly saying much seeing as it was over the computer. It can't compare to actually being there.
I thought it was the best set I saw all weekend. MMJ is so overrated, and I left during Bisco's Astronaut because Brownstein was playing the same bassline for what seemed like ten minutes. Umphrey's tore down that fuckin tent!
holy sh.it man!!! i just got this show. (thanx nola!!) its just as incredible as i remembered it! what a friggin night!! i will listen to this show thousands of times!!!!
im searching hard for the bisco portion. i am yet to come across it. im sure it will surface soon. althoguht his umphreys is gonna get played 10 times in a row anyways.
i will do that. i am so upset that i didnt make it. im an idiot. ive heard some of it but im gonna listen to the whole thing. it just so painful to know that i could have been there. that was my fist roo and we were out in bfe and i just wasnt pacing myself for the heat. i didnt see any latenights in 04. i think i only say 8 bands that year. roo is a learning process and i hit my stride this year. over 25 shows and i didnt miss a thing i wanted to see aside from falling asleep at streets and missing moe

OK so initially I was slightly bummed that Umphrey's left out all the heavy hitters (N2F, Bridgeless, der Bluten Kat) especially since they closed Summer Camp with two of them. But I am now even more in awe of them for being able to whip us in to such a frenzy WITHOUT them! It just reinforces to me that Umphrey's are the best of the next gen jammers. Everything they do is rock solid and they don't need to lean on the heavy hitters. I will travel anywhere in the SE to see these guys. It's worth the mini tour.
