"Rumored acts for the 2007 event include Tea Leaf Green, Widespread Panic, Tool, Bruce Hornsby, Tenacious D, Pearl Jam, Rhythm Devils, TV on the Radio, Queens of the Stone Age, Wilco, Belle & Sebastian, Crosby Stills Nash and Young, The Shins, Sufjan Stevens, Guster,The New Pornographers, Ben Harper and the Innocent Criminals, The Hold Steady,Magnolia Electric Company, The Decemberists, Yonder Mountain String Band, My Morning Jacket, and Deerhoof. A full announcement of initial bands playing isn't expected until late January 2007 at the earliest."
That list looks reasonable and might actually hit 25%. Last year the early rumors were Petty, Radiohead, and Beck, and all of those came to be true. When do the "reliable rumors" start coming out?

Yeah, but I didn't hear anything about that trio until around Christmas... about a month before. We're about 3 months from the official announcement now. Besides, with them the word was coming from slightly reliable sources, whereas I don't know of anyone mentioned yet that is more than just speculation and educated guesses.
The line-up will weigh heavily on our decision to go to roo this year. We've discussed forgoing roo for a smaller festival. Everything just seemed so crowded this year and I'd like to go somewhere I can take my dog.
Waka is out. No way. But maybe 10k lakes or all good...
Maybe I just don't look into it enough, but the only person I ever see talking about a reunion is Trey. I don't recall hearing anything from Fish or Page or Mike about them getting back together and playing again. If they were to rejoin and play Roo it would be amazing, but the festival is like ~200 days away. I just can't see such a big thing happening before then. I'll readily say I hope I'm wrong though.

I didnt see The Mars Volta play with the chili peppers, but from what i heard, they were pretty uninspired shows. Their set at bonnaroo was awesome, and i've heard a lot better things about their solo tours. If you ever get the chance to see them playing there own show, i'd still check them out.
