Of the credible leaked artists from that wiki post a few weeks ago, John Butler Trio, the Hold Steady & Cold War Kids have been confirmed and Lily Allen's been rumored via interview. Here's hoping we get Dylan & Waits.
what "leak"? oh and seeing the hold steady might be cool, i was planning on seeing them but had another commitment
The supposed leak on Wikipedia
To be more specific, this leak:
"Late Sunday night (1/6/07), an initial lineup announcement apparently leaked onto the internet.
The lineup included Bob Dylan, Trey Anastasio, Tom Waits, Gov't Mule, Norah Jones, Pearl Jam, Ben Harper, My Morning Jacket, Arcade Fire, Modest Mouse, Yo La Tengo, The Decemberists, The Shins, The Roots, John Butler Trio, M. Ward, Band of Horses, Tea Leaf Green, the Hold Steady, TV on the Radio, Lily Allen, Cut Chemist, Grizzly Bear, Cold War Kids, Man Man, The Slip, Girl Talk, and Isis (band). More artist announcments are expected in the coming weeks."
However, I should point out the obvious: wikipedia listed no source for this leak. the term "leaked onto the internet" is pretty damn vague. and besides the tom waits prediction, all those bands listed are pretty safe predictions given the availability of those acts and their ability to play to the bonnaroo jam/indie sensibility.
I'm kinda having a hard time getting into their new album. Anyone have an album of theirs to recomend?
My guess is that if you're having issues with the new one, the past two aren't going to be your cup of tea either. If anything, Boys & Girls is more accessible as far as songwriting and Craig Finn's vocals go. Separation Sunday is spectacular, but only if you're down for songs packed to the gills with lyrics and some non-traditional songwriting.

All I have heard of by Hold Steady is their song on Tony Hawk's Project 8, "Your Little Hoodrat Friend." Does all their stuff sound like that or is the rest better? Kinda like how all songs by John Mayer that get played on the radio suck, but the other stuff is good.
Most of their stuff is wordy, riff filled, and anthem ready. So yeah, if that's not your thing, don't pursue any further. If you want to dig a little deeper though, check out the tracks on their MySpace page...

Sorry, I didn't mean to piss you off. Like aquariumdrunk said, they just are not my thing. I don't really know too much about this band so I was trying to figure out if i should check them out or not.
