According to wikipedia, "In November 2006 commenced Primus: The Beat A Dead Horse Tour 2006. It was rumored on Primus' forums that Bob Cock had said in an email that Primus plans to return to the studio after the tour and make a new album."
If this goes down, and the album is finished in time for Roo, I'm sure they'll make a stop in Manchester. Maybe with a special guest ;D!
*i like coconuts, you can break them open they smell like ladies lyin in the sun** *Hell I don't even know where I am** *for now I must sit here and ponder the yonder: The herbivores did well cause their food didn't never run** *We listen, if it feels good We shake** *You made a big impression for a girl of your size, Now I can't get by without you and your big brown eyes.**
I just got Pork Soda and it's very good. I hope they're there and I hope some other heavier acts are too. The happy jam music is great, but I think most festivals could use a reasonable dose of metal(ish) music. Not too much, so to avoid Woodstock 99, but just enough to reach out that little bit more.

eh, i'd absolutely LOVE to see a primus late night again, but i just don't see that happening. last tour, they played 10 songs split into 2 sets, and the whole show was about 1.5 hours long. kinda dissappointing

Yeah, I saw one of the "Beat A Dead Horse" shows too. The performance was amazing but it was very brief. One set of 11 songs totaling to about an hour and a half. But if they make a new album I bet their shows would be a lot longer, ya know what I mean?

Agreed, kinda like radiohead sets last year, which i didnt see, but saw the setlist. Where they play a lot of the new stuff, but also still a lot of the old.
For me, a Primus performance in likely to trump all others playing in the time slot... IF they play, I hope it's not another tough decision like 2004; Primus vs. Ween vs. Robert Randolph vs. Cut Chemist. I mean, COME ON!
At the Les Claypool interview at the Sonic Stage last year, he was talking about the Primus reunion adn when someone asked if they would play Roo 07 Claypool said something like its possible but he didnt want to ruin the suprise. Or something to that effect. Was anyone else there that could maybe put that better than i did?
