I read somewhere Throbbing Gristle is putting out a new album in 2007. I mean, this is pure speculation founded on 0% truth, but how bizzare and cool would a late night Throbbing Gristle set be? No chance, I know, but pretty to think about it...
That would be tremendous. I'd love to know what their sound would be like today; Psychic TV and Chris'n'Cosey have made so much innovative music since we last heard TG. A long late night tent set, please.
I'd say it's pretty much impossible. Genesis (who now goes as "Djinn") has gone totally off the deep end over the past 10 years. Breast implants, cosmetic surgery, the guy is f'ed up 24/7. Not that he wasn't always but... I sure as hell wouldn't want to hire him on a 100+ million dollar festival and insure him. And if you were running a hippie festival would you hire a guy that pressed and sold Hitler's speeches?
Skinny Puppy would be more likely, I guess, with Mythmaker coming out a few months before 'Roo and cEvin's solo work being experimental enough that I think it would work. Same with Legendary Pink Dots or Tear Garden. The Dots would absolutely rock Bonnaroo if given a chance.
That would be interesting, I personally don't see TG or Puppy playing, though I love both. Good call on LPD, as they have some of the most original psychedelic music in years. I would litteraly crap both ways if Legendary Pink Dots played, they'd just fit in perfectly, especially in a late night slot. Though not likely, there still is hope, as LPD went on a North American tour that found them in Atlanta and other southern cities last year. They could definately find some new fans at the Roo!
I've only really been into their music for about 4 or 5 years, so i've missed every chance to see em. They are definately in my top 5 must see bands that are still around.

Snowball's chance in hell, though.
I have some great pictures from a TG show a few years ago. "Djinn" was a sad old queen. (I wasn't there, the pics were included in the files I downloaded)
Skinny Puppy would probably be a bit much for bonnaroo...but i would love to see them late night. the new album though - kind of by the books rock-industrial. I am looking forward to another tour
I totally missed the release of the new Skinny Puppy album - I'll pick that up the next time I'm at the record (er, CD) store. Man, that's one of the many reasons I love Inforoo - rabid music fans who love to share.
Did anyone else hear ohGr's 'Welt' - that featured Ogre and Key from SP?
