Andrew Bird tourdates were announced last Tuesday, go check them out. It was very uspetting to me because the closest to Atlanta is Nashville and it is on a Monday night! So I am going to go to Newport Kentucky, a six hour drive to fill my Andrew Bird obsession, but at least that is on a Saturday.

I think this is huge find! With new albums coming out in march and april Bright Eyes and Andrew Bird are both very likely to repeat at Bonnaroo. Superfly may have held off on announcing them to avoid looking like they were bringing back a lot of the same artists from last year -- or perhaps they just were 99% sure the bands were going to be at 'Roo but were waiting for the actual confirmation signature. Why else would they leave this bios and photos up?!?

i was reading another thread where someone figured out that if you typed "www.bonnaroo.com/namebandhere" a page will come up for that artist.
after several people did a little "investigating", they found that most (if not all) of the artists in the lineup for this year have a page - with writing. they checked out a few of the artists from previous years, who are not playing this year (ie, radiohead), and found that while they did have pages, they were blank.
after doing a little investigating of my own, it appears andrew bird has a page. wonder if this means it's just a matter of time before he's announced?
oh and i'd like to mention that i checked out some folks who've never played (and still won't?) and it says "You missed. The page you were looking for doesn't exist." interesting.
Wow, I think I just stumbled across something. I was a little curious so I just started typing band names in that are either rumored or hopefuls. So I started typing in names. As an example Ill throw out a name that didnt work at all.
Nothing to get insanely excited about. I ran a few different scenarios through my head. Maybe these were old artist pages that where left up right? I guess not considering Neil has played Roo.
Fool around with this some more folks. Im gonna keep checking these pages. I think they'll add the artist bios either right before, or during the announcements.
I was born in the back seat of a Yellow Cab in a hospital loading zone and with the meter still running. I emerged needing a shave and shouted 'Time Square, and step on it!

I think this deserves a thread.
Hmmm. I think the pages with bios and pictures are a little more likely to be future additions. I tried some bands that I'm pretty sure won't be there this year (Mofro, Acoustic Syndicate, Jason Mraz) and they all brought up pages for the artists (similar to the Primus one you pointed out for example) but no bio or picture to be found. I'm thinking Bright Eyes and Andrew Bird are highly likely, the others not so much.
that's the thing. almost everyone on the initial lineup has a bio (including those who have appeared in the past). but, not everyone who has appeared in the past has a bio up (like radiohead - it's blank). artists who have never played (and maybe won't?) don't even have a blank page - you get an error when you try to view it.
so it makes me think that if andrew bird and bright eyes have bios, they might make an appearance this year.
who knows? could be nothing, but it's still interesting, nonetheless.

Regarding Neil Young, there is no page because he performed under the name Neil Young & Crazy Horse. That does have a page: www.bonnaroo.com/neil-young-crazy-horse
Also, Andrew Bird and Bright Eyes have complete pages because most of the '06 pages were carried over to this new format. Bonnie Raitt, Bill Frisell, Death Cab for Cutie and Seu Jorge all have complete pages as well (although Radiohead didn't).
