Levon Helm hates Robbie Robertson with a white hot passion -- did I miss a reconciliation or are they going to bury the hatchet for a paycheck? Plus, without Danko and Manuel, is it really the Band? They better fill the spots with some serious talent if they're going to go marching around using the name.

I saw the grateful dead twice at soldier field. this is what the line up said i found on some web site. cant remember exact years 1992 - 1999 Jim Weider - guitar Rick Danko - bass, vocals Randy Ciarlante - bass, drums, vocals Levon Helm - drums, vocals Garth Hudson - keyboards, saxophone Richard Bell - keyboards I just remember they sounded great but I partied hard back then. I can't find any confirmation on the web about a get back together. But somebody told me (so grain of salt) stranger things have happened. thats what they called themselves when I saw them so I gotta go with that
What about the Levon Helm Band that has been playing the Midnight Rambles. They are incredible, I wonder if they would travel to play some special show at a place like bonnaroo. They would make a great late night show.

Oh man i would die... I'll never forget Allman bros playing "the night they drove ol dixie down" in 05... Speaking of the old timers, lets add some New Riders Of The Purple Sage... I thought last summer might be my only chance to see em but they're gunna be around again this summer, psyched for 10klakes....
yeah me and my friends had been on a major Last Waltz kick the whole year leading up to 05 and we all freaked out when it kicked in Allman Bros put on a hell of a show that year. A Band reunion without Danko/Manuel would be pretty weak, especially without Ricky it just wouldn't sound right. MMJ does do an excellent job of covering "It Makes No difference"
I also thought Levon hated Robbie...And without Danko, it's not the Band in my opinion. Not that I wouldn't want to see the remaining members play together, but to me, no Danko, no Band.
