Do you know why inforoo was credited? Because of BonnarooDetective. He was smart about it and figured it out and leaked it. Great lineup. It is true. But BD, you have upset a bunch of the organizers of this festival. It's not a HUGE deal, but it was very sad talking to my supervisor at AC.
I work for AC Entertainment, and my supervisor told me that it is true, that one smart kid got in somehow and leaked it (BonnarooDetective). She said she is very sad and many of the others are too, because they work their asses off all year putting together lineups, and they look forward to announcing it.

it's unfortunate this happenned, but none of us are complaining. Whoever does the web work should know not to post critical information, even in dummy format, to the actual web site, even if it is for proofing. A dummy site can be set up that is not tied to the URL, so that when the proofing work must be done, no one can hack into ot via the website's URL. And then when your proofing is done and you are ready you just take the site live. It's pretty simple to do, it's actually somewhat surprising Bonnaroo.com doesn't do this. Something tells me they will now.

Mounabowie: Tell the folks at AC that they shouldn't be sad. They've given a whole lot of people a great deal of happiness. It's an amazing lineup. I can't stop grinning.
i can't grasp feeling sorry for AC here.... i mean come on, posting it live before they wanted it out there was pretty stupid.... and i get that they look forward to announcing the line-up, but all of us were also looking forward to an announcement when they originally promised - late january! so i think we've waited long enough

i don't think it's very fair to say that BonnarooDetective upset a lot of people at the festival, and made them feel bad. that's kind of pointing the finger over hurt feelings, and i don't think they deserve the whole blame [but i wouldn't be one to point blame at the inforoo'ers.]
if i was anyone at AC, i think i would be happy/excited/thrilled that there is such a rabid fan following of the festival [with our without the lineup announced], and that they are so excited that they do some HTML poking around to get a tidbit - anything - about the festival.
i almost liken it to the LOST television show web game, where ABC kept people involved in the series all hiatus [or, in roo world, for summer, winter and fall] by leaving bread crumbs to piece together.
well, we are just like those rabid lost fans, scouring for that one little crumb, and for once it paid off. no fault should be given to BD. as a matter of fact, i'm going to go and exalt the hell out of 'em right now!
ya i agree... maybe with a little more hardwork they wouldnt have posted it where someone can get it. now if he had broken into an office and stolen a computer id feel bad. but this is superflys deal. im still hoping its them playing a trick on everyone and trying to discredit inforoo so they can launch thier own forum ;D the real lineup will be out later with phil, bob, trey, and winwood on sunday, oh ya and dave on friday. j-5, tmv, alo,aod, grece potter, toubab krewe, b;ack crowes, etc..
Last month, the Manchester Times ran a lineup attributed to unnamed sources wrongly claiming acts like Pearl Jam, Bob Dylan, My Morning Jacket, Ryan Adams and Tom Waits would be on hand.
Wrong, Wrong, Wrong!!!! The Manchester Times NEVER ran an article stating any lineup leak!!!
This was the supposed "source" for one of the BS leaks that was posted here, but it DID NOT come from the Manchester Times.
I can't believe they put that on there when it is completely untrue.

If that is the case, dude, then they are shooting themselves i the foot.
If you were looking for a source of info and could choose between the site that gets info early (due to a resourcful member) or have to wait until the actuall acnnouncement day......THEN have the announcment pushed back two weeks....who would you choose?
If anything, it will make inforoo MORE popular, don't you think?

Everything is fine. It was just sad thing. No one is permanantly scared for life or anything. It was a "bubble-buster". They didn't think that that would happen, but it's not a big deal. I've already let Bonnaroo Detective know everything is cool, and sent his apology to my supervisor. And the lineup is EXTREMELY exciting! Someone asked what I do there. I help run the street team here in Knoxville, and I do a little work in Asheville sometimes. I've been working there for a year and a half.
