I've only heard OF him, but he sounds really exciting. I think it's multilingual world music, and I know he's huge in the rest of the world. If he's confirmed tonight, I'll be making a real effort to get something of his tomorrow.

I had never heard of him/them before either. but that is why I went to Bonnaroo in the first place - to be exposed to new things. I'll be checking them out.
Start with Clandestino and then move onto Esperanza if you dig it. He's sort of hard to pigeon hole sound wise. He's really huge outside the United States though. If you dig his solo stuff, check out Mano Negra, the band he was in before going out on his own.

I had only heard of this guy before yesterday. After checking out his stuff on myspace Ill definetly stop by whatever stage hes playing on to check him out. I really wish Ali Farka Toure was still alive so he could play a Bonnaroo.
