Has anybody actually listened to any of their cds?
I was definitely one to pre-judge them from the song "stacy's mom" but i have been downloading songs for the past hour and downloaded about 6 or 7 fountains of wayne songs, and they are actually really good! nothing like stacy's mom!
i'm actually impressed..that will be a show i try and check out!

Yes, I've actually listened to all their CDs. They are all excellent, and yes, "Stacy's Mom" is not a great gauge for the group.

FOW are awesome been a big fan for a long time, I saw them live about 4 or 5 years ago at the 9:30 club in DC and they were real fun to see, but I'll love it even more as an afternoon show in the sunshine. Most of their music is definitely good summer time windows down tunes.

Yeah I'm gonna add to the list of people here telling everyone to look past Fountains of Wayne's radio songs (not that they are bad by any means). In the mid 90's they had Radiation Smile, and then Stacey's Mom a little later, but there's definitely much more to this band than the cover of the book. I'm excited to see them for the first time after being a fan for a long time.
