I would like to correct a common misconception seen throughout this thread. Tool fans (real Tool fans) do not mosh at Tool concerts. "Metalheads" are not typically Tool fans, and if they are (I guess this is how I am anyway) they convert to something else while Tool is playing. Moshing is not appreciated at Tool shows, so much infact that the last guy I witnessed that attempted to start moshing, was laid out by the fist of the guy who warned him like 6 times to quit it.
THANK YOU FOR POSTING THAT! karma for you. i think alot of people have the wrong idea about tool. real tool fans see moshing as a disgrace to the music. a real tool fan will be too absorbed in the music to even think about anything else, let alone pointless voilence.
very true. And Karma to you for all of your brilliant posts on these 2 Tool threads, and the video link!
"They won't break me because the desire for freedom, and the freedom of the Irish people, is in my heart. The day will dawn when all the people of Ireland will have the desire for freedom to show. It is then that we will see the rising of the moon."
thanks! im just glad to see some fans on the forum and especially another toolhead. my hope is that more become enlightened to the beauty that is tool before or even at roo. their music def changed my life and the way i look at things.
youtube kicks a.s.s as far as the videos go. i spent a good couple hours earlier typing in song titles and watchin the vids.
I think all doubters will be very surprised at how tool is going to make their heads explode. Im already calling that this is going to be the best show Ive ever seen.
I think you're right. It's gonna be sick.
When I first started listening to Tool, i didnt get into them right away. It took a little while before i really heard the depth of their musicality and decided that they really were creative innovators. Besides, people who are insanely into music like Trey and Eza-Peka Salonen (the conductor of the Los Angeles Philharmonic) are huge fans of Tool. They must know something, right? Can't wait to hear their set.
^ I am so excited to see Tool, it's insane. Now, I love a ton of the bands to be at Roo this year and wouldn't miss their set unless TMV was playing at the same time (like Flaming Lips, Wilco, White Stripes, Wolfmother, Police, Black Angels,The Roots...) but I'm almost willing to pay this $220+ ticket price JUST to see Tool and camp with a bunch of great people for 4 days, no other bands. Bonnaroo is such a place that I could do that and be totally satisfied.
