;D Well its official i have tickets to both im sooo psyched This june is gunna be nutty... Anyone else pulling the double header? Im gunna be in TN a few days early so i'll be there when the floodgates open
Unfortunately, a new job, in a new state, and an all around new life will cause enough chaos and scheduling issues to take up the next few months. Rest assured, if I would have been able to jive it with work, I'd be pulling a Bonnawakaroosa myself.

Yah im barely pulling it myself but i gave myself a few months to get everything together and festivals dont have to be too too expensive if you play your cards right... These might be my only two of the summer cause i gotta work and save to move out west next fall, last year i did Gathering Of The Vibes, Camp Bisco IV, 2 Big Summer Classics and of course the roo'....
I too am gonna do the Bonnapalooza this year I think, and I am trying to convince my Bonnaroo buddies to hit up All Good as well, but it isn't looking like that will happen.
sad to say I'm only going to roo this summer - getting married in Sept, so need to save $ and vacation days for that extravaganza.... if that wasn't an issue, I'd hit roo, then all good and 10KLF back-to-back in July. Thinking about hitting FolkFest in August too...

Pitchfork needs to get some more bands listed. Six bands isn't quite enough to entice me into buying tickets just yet, even though I really can't wait to see Jens Lekman.

I would love to do the All Good Bonnawakapalooza... and If I get hired for a teaching job in Bmore for next year I probably will do at least 2... I just missed the $45 dollar lolla tickets so I was upset about that... the only problem is convincing friends to go... so far only two of my friends have bought tickets for bonnaroo (one bought two but might be going to germany for the world cup) and I'd probably have an even more difficult time convincing any of them to hit up waka or all good... although all good is much much closer and it still has a killer lineup with bisco and greyboy late nights
Phishdrum: I was referring to the Folks Festival in Lyons, CO. It's run by the same people who do the Telluride Bluegrass Fest. Folks Fest is Aug. 18-20. Headliners announced so far are Ani diFranco, Kathleen Edwards, Martin Sexton, Amos Lee, and Billy Jonas - rest of the lineup TBD. Sounds pretty sweet to me.... ;D

Hey meb -- I'll be a new resident of CO in a couple of weeks. Have you attended the Folks Festival or any of the other festivals out there before? Money and time will be tight the rest of this year, but I've been eyeing them all up and trying to see if I could maybe work in a day or two to attend something. Just seeing if you have any insight or tidbits of information...

I have faith in Pitchfork that they will add a few bands I really love so I don't think it's that big of a chance. For me anyway

I've never been to the Folks Festival, but I have been to the Telluride Bluegrass Festival before - Folks Festival is being run by the same people, but at a different site. Lyons is just outside of Denver, which for me, makes coming in for Folks Fest a lot more likely. Since it's run by the Telluride folks, I have to expect that it will be great. Telluride has everything you could want in a festival - not too many people, A+ artists, a mellow vibe, and great collaborations.

Yo La Tengo, Spoon, and Tapes n' Tapes added today. That seals the deal for me. I'm there.
