If the Superjam is not a late night this year, and assumes its normal tent slot preheadliner Sunday, would you attend the show? Or would this severely decrease your chances of seeing this show?
With Mule being confirmed for Saturday, and floyd242's thread where he said Warren said Mule will play late night this year, I feel that rules out Saturday late night for Superjam. There's no way whatsoever they schedule the Superjam vs. Mule. So unless the Superjam is Friday late night, it most likely would be back in its normal Sunday evening slot.
That being said, we know the White Stripes are playing Sunday as well. This would no doubt put Superjam against the Stripes. As much as it would kill me, I would definately be at the White Stripes show. Have not seen them yet, and Jack White is a nasty songwriter and guitar player.
Maybe even sadder would mean that Jack White in no way could be part of the Superjam if this happens.

I'd see The White Stripes before Superjam this year. Last year, however, I'm glad I caught Superjam and being about 15 feet from the stage was mindblowing.
i think that this would be highly unlikely. i don't have any inside sources, i just predicted that jack white would be the biggest collarborater at this year's bonnaroo. with this said, stripes v. superjam would upset me.
i dont think there is any going back for the super jam. i wouldnt have expected the superjam to be up against dr john either but it happened. i know lots of people love mule but they just dont do a whole lot for me. not saying they arent good. but mule and allman bros just dont do it for me live. i know id be down to have the superjam go against mule latenight.
id like to see harper and franti plus a long list of guests for the superjam. that wouldnt conflict too much with a mule latenight.

Same here. I have never, and probably will never be that close to Trey, Mike and Phil ever again. I had a blast. My lane nights last year were both stellar (MMJ and Superjam). Let's hope this year is even close to as good.

Stripes vs. Superjam would be by far and away my biggest conflict of the weekend. Let's Hope they push it to a late night (Friday). Cause even if it did conflict with something, you know a late night Superjam would go forever.

It depends. No one has seen the schedule, and anyother site is not as accurate as Bonnaroo's so it is way to early to form an opinion. That's my two cents.

It's all speculation, with some more reliable rumors out there mixed in. There's no harm in it, just killing time I guess. That being said, between the two threads, I believe it is safe to say Mule is playing late night Saturday.
and that ^^^ is why we speculate, and dig around the internet for something. Sh*t it is why this board exists. Sometimes you actually find something, then you race here to discuss it ;D
i missed a superjam at bonnaroo once... after that i quickly learned that no matter what you do or who you miss during the fest, DON'T MISS THE SUPERJAM.
thats the idea. although last year it leaked that grab was playing the superjam. the at&t blueroom put it on its list i think on the tuesday before roo.
Last Edit: Feb 22, 2007 21:06:13 GMT -5 by Dude - Back to Top
it used to be a get together of various musicians at roo. they would just get together and jam. then last year it was grab. an actual band that started a tour at roo. so who knows what it will be this year. i kinda hope they go back to the various musicians as opposed to a band. but i have no complaints about grab. that was an incredible show!

Superjam is exactly what it sounds like. It is a time slot that is listed on the schedule (when it is released) that has no definate line-up. Basically it is a jam session, with who knows showing up. Usually there is a set band of allstar members from the festival, with guests joining them throughout the set as well.
Up until last year's Bonnaroo it had always been in a 5PM tent show on Sundays. Last year though, it was moved to late night Saturday night.
I only know the last two Superjams, so hopefully someone else can fill in more of this:
2006-Trey, Mike, Benvenuto, Russo (GRAB)- Phil came out and guested for two Dead songs during their set.
2005-Herbie Hancock, ?uestlove, and two others on bass and guitar-An hour and a half of some of the nastiest funk you will ever hear. No singing just funk.

I'm going to have a mental breakdown if Superjam is in conflict with the White Stripes. I will choose the Stripes, but I'll be very upset. Superjam is always in my top 10 "must see", and I think it works better late night, that way it's longer and has less conflicts.

Man I cant beleive I missed Herbie H at Roo especially with ?uest. ANy chance HH wil lmake an appearance this year?
I can upload the Herbie set to the 2006 Downloads thread, when I am done with the requests. It's an amazing set. That and Krush were my favorite sets in 2005. I was absolutely beat down by Herbie's sunday set, but it was well worth it to sit through it. Amazing piece of music that set was.

Take it easy, now. Inhale. Exhale. I know what this board is, and I enjoy it too. I'm just not as in to Government Mule as you are and I don't have too much to say other than the fact that since I do not express a strong interest in this situation, it is too early for me to decide. On the other hand, if you did your research and found out when they could be playing, good job.
