Hell yes, I loved their album when it came out.
The most important factor in being at their set is to see them before they really explode-- because they very likely will be the next Arcade Fire. So it will be cool to see them in a small tent with a small crowd before that happens.
In fact, that's one of the best things about Bonnaroo. Catch those waves early on...
I recently saw them at The Southgate House in Newport, KY, and it was a really good show. There were about 40-50 people in a seated audience, and the band still truly rocked out. By the end, nearly everyone was standing and near the stage, which was phenomenal. They are going to gain a crapload of fans at Bonnaroo, no matter when they play.
Annuals debut, Be He Me, might be my favorite release from last year. I hear influences from The Beach Boys, The Cure, Blue Oyster Cult, Pink Floyd, Broken Social Scene - yet they never sound derivative, every track being beautifully crafted and uniquely performed. A mix of alt-anthems and quirky indie rock, with strings, keyboards, and various electronics added to guitar, bass and drums, and just enough humor so as not to be taken too seriously. I caught them live last October opening for Tapes 'n Tapes - one of the best shows I've ever seen.

I missed that show, but I heard about the low turnout. That was too bad. They also played a live Lounge Act on WOXY...you can dl it here:
"Be He ME" is incredible, but I really like the tracks from their first effort, "Lay Down Dry". It has many of the same tracks from "Be He Me", but it's a little more raw and less produced.
Anyway, they're definitely in my top 5 of bands to see at Roo. Can't wait!
