Confirmed for after the Police! Sasha and Digweed take the headline late night spot. Here's hopin they go till 6 am, I was a bit drunk after Radiohead last year so I didnt get to see them..
Sent in an e-mail from Sasha to mailinglist members:
BONNAROO
Sasha & John Digweed will perform a late night set after The Police at the Bonnaroo Music Festival in Manchester, Tennessee USA on Saturday, 16 June.
ok, i'm not going to be upset. yes, i was one of the biggest proponents of a sts9>sasha & digweed transition (and just thinking about that still messes me up heh), BUT if you can't have em back to back in one night, giving them both a prime slot 2 nights in a row is nearly as f'in sweet.
Maybe I'll throw myself to the dogs, but my back's not to the wall Maybe I'll lay some bricks for the man, but the days just aren't that long So if I settle back and chill will I see far enough to feel the angel's dream? I thought it was the Story of the World!

I don't think they'll be alone late night. There are too many djs this year to just give them a full tent to themselves. It'll probably be Girl Talk > Sasha and Digweed
sounds like one of those moves SF would do to split the massive crowd after the Police while hoping to not have too much fan crossover. not to stereotype, but i'd guess the average Mule fan might not be that interested in a pair of trance DJs and vice versa. i'm sure some wll be torn though

I think I'll just stumble over to Sasha/Digweed after Mule. That is assuming that Mule will go 'til 4ish & the Sasha/Digweed will start after another act or 2 and go until 5 or 6.

actually we were assuming this was going up against mule in the 12-4 time slot. but you bring up a good point: sts9 called their set a late night set and its 12-4, as did mule. are we to assume that the above quote refers to the 12-4 slot or the repeat of 3:30-whenever from last year? i'd prefer the 3:30-?

So that really is starting to sound like a Girl Talk set from 12-1:30 or 2 and then Sasha/Digweed from 2-6? That would make sense to me. Most likely in the other tent.

If mule plays against the dj's, while i love a good dj, easy choice, mule all the way. But if they're still going after mule, id definatly check them out.

Sweet. This makes the late night all the more exciting, since I heard great things about Sasha last year and I've been reading about Daft Punk at Coachella. Not saying it's gonna be that good, but late night raging in a tent sounds great right now.

S & DW did a mix-cd several years ago called "Northern Exposure (vol 1)" that is amazing! I've been listening to it daily, now that I know that they're (both) going to be at Bonnaroo!

There is going to be a massive surge of people after the mule show, but as long as it is loud, I have no need to be anywhere near up front, I like some dancing room anyway.

I would be shocked if Girl Talk filled 90 minutes. I think 45-60 minutes is more his time frame.
I totally agree. This whole time i've been saying that theres really no reason for Girl Talk to get a huge slot, its just a guy and his laptop, and while its sweet music, its just a guy and his laptop... Also, from what i've gathered when he plays clubs he usually just has like a 2 hour total set.
I'm glad many will enjoy the dj's, but maybe it's my age, I'm not missing Mule late night. If I am able to still walk after Mule, I will check out the Dj's and see for myself.

so this email just says 'after the police' right? it doesnt say tent/stage or time slot? just wondering because i wasnt sure if people were guessing/assuming or they knew. I would assume they would start later and not right at mdnight..more like Sasha last year.

You are about a month older than me, and I am pumped for Sasha n Digweed, I just wish there wasn't the Mule conflict, but tough decisions are what Bonnaroo is all about.
