In my mind, this was far and away the most amazing performance I've seen in my three years at 'Roo from '03-'05. Amazing musicians, epic light show, and all out sick jams. I downloaded the soundbaord as soon as it was available and have listened to it hundreds of times since then. It will never, ever get old.
I've found a couple of their other live albums featuring Bill Laswell, Buckethead, Brain, and the Invisibl Skratch Piklz and they are phenomenal. The crazy thing is, Laswell constantly changes the lineup with people like Bootsy Collins, John Zorn, Toshinori Kondo, and DJ Olive, so they could bring a completely different lineup and a new interpretation on their music.
"We've all been raised on television to believe that one day we'd all be millionaires, movie gods, and rock stars. But we wont, and we're slowly learning that fact & we're very, very pissed off......."
Oh wow! I just found a handful of my favorite bots here on the roo board. This is my kinda thread!!
I have absolutely have my fingers crossed for ANY Buckethead return, though, i gotta admitt, in my head, the most powerful would be a Colonel Claypool's Bucket of Bernie Brain's reunion. Performing at the first ever Bonnaroo, man, they melted craniums with their improv jams!!
The Material set was on point. I think they played a 30 minute version of Black Lotus. Empathetic i yam, because it took me so long to find the set; so if anyone needs audio of the Material set, hit me up.
TheFussyDutchman mentioned that Tool into Praxis or vice versa would blow mind, and i could NOT agree more!!
I think i'm limited to how much karma i can dish out per hour, otherwise, each and everyone of you Praxis posteroo's would receive a solid slab.

Man, I'm glad I wasn't the only one who enjoyed the hell out of that show. I've been a faithful bot ever since and have gotten into Laswell's stuff on top of it all. The guy is pure genius.
I have the audio for the Material set, too. Had to arrange a B&P from a guy in NY, but it was just as awesome as I remember. Which track was Black Lotus on it? I do remember the sick Cosmic Slop, which was my highlight of Sunday. The thunderbolt was indescribable. Ridiculous guitar solo with applause from God himself. It's pretty cool how you can hear it on the AUD. Ahhh, man...I'm getting all verklempt.

Praxis is an absolutely spectacular collective. Normally, I would pretty much totally rule them out, but with their appearance at Vegoose, I don't think anything's totally out of the question. Bonnaroo needs some Buckethead, in one form or another, and I think Praxis would be the perfect vehicle. Just please don't schedule it against Gov't Mule latenight. The ideal, for me at least, would be a Tool>Lips>Praxis>Sasha and Digweed Friday night/Saturday morning.
Also, Manta Ray, any chance I could get that Material set from you?
Good question. Sadly, it's been a while since i've thrown it in. From what i remember, it's a bit better than par, but when i go home, i'm gonna throw it in to refresh the memory.
