I was just surfing the web, came across an article that said Joss Stone is touring. I don't know if this has been talked about on here, if it has I apologize. I noticed though that on her website she doesn't have a date after the one on 6/13 in VA. That seems like a short trip to the 'Roo. Furthermore, she is playing that show with Ryan Shaw(already playing 'Roo) and Common (a possibility?). I don't know, just seemed like a good indicator. Not that I am too interested in her as an addition, but it couldn't hurt.
Bonnaroo doesn't seem to nurture a whole lot of female artists. A lot seem to play one show and that's it (Ani DiFranco, Beth Orton, Liz Phair, Mindy Smith, Allison Krauss) Can anyone remember a repeat female performer? Gillian Welch has had a slot and sat in with Bright Eyes and Gabby La La had a set and then was in Les's Fancy Band but I don't know if those count.
i second on grace potter. she absolutely blew me away at roo and all good last year. one of my favorite female artists right now.
i wouldn't mind seeing joss stone either. i missed her at least 3-4 times in the last few years at various local events or festivals. she is a damn good looking lady and has one hell of a set of pipes. the girl can wail and i love it. she might be going down the mainstream path now a days, but at least she puts out quality music....kinda like norah.
