Sorry, I know it's lame but I've been a Police fan since before I even liked classic rock or even jamband music for that matter so my vote goes out to the police. But it was a huge toss up between Tool and The Police.

i wanted to vote for The Police but i have to vote for the White Stripes because they were the biggest surprise of the artists announced and i really really love them.
Whether intentional or not, those characters when assembled as such resemble male genitalia. Though I'm sure this wasn't your aim, I am going to have to kick you out of bonnaroo. and music. sorry.
While I love Tool, The White Stripes, The Flaming Lips, I have to vote for the Police! (I guess I'm kind of showing my age.) Mainly because they are a group I never expected to see again (I saw them in the early 80's). There will be more opportunities to see the other groups. The Police is a once in a lifetime thing. Let's just hope they can find some of that old spark and do themselves proud. In their prime they were AMAZING! A pop-punk-ska revolution.

Wilco was my vote, but it was so hard not to pick F'Lips, White Stripes, Tool, Police, or Decemberists. I think I am equally excited for each, including non-list bands Spoon and Tortoise. Manu Chao is going to be great too.

hehe, this reminds me of 7th grade when I had the shirt with this "tool" wrench logo on the back of it. I had no clue that what it was until the guidance councilor made a comment about it. I was just a innocent 15 year old... ;D
