Ok i just got ahold of Gogoll Bordello, and i am soo excited to see them, its gonna a crazy party!!! Who else do you think is gonna have the crowd going nuts...so far in that regard i''m crazy excited for Manu Chao, Flaming Lips, and to a lesser extent in that regard Hold Steady, and OCMS....
What other bands throw insane live shows that are gonna be here? I'm not too up to speed with the jam bands....
John: We don't even understand our own music Spider: It doesn't, does it matter whether we understand it? At least it'll give us . . . strength John: I know but maybe we could get into it more if we understood it

I think Gov't Mule is gonna tear up the stage. Plus its right after The Police, so everyone will be so energetic from that already. I could deff. see there late night set going for 3 hours, or possibly longer....

3 hours is a walk in the park for Warren and crew. Honestly with this being "not your average Mule show," I wouldn't doubt if we saw three sets clocking in somewhere around 4-5 hours.

everybody has seen panic too many times, but they are always a party
not me. i have only seen them once and i didn't really enjoy their set. then again, it was a very short set at farm aid in '05. i might give them a chance this year at roo as i didn't give 'em one at roo in '05.
I think Gov't Mule will play until the sun comes up. warren loves to jam. SCI should be a hell of a party.. but I think Galactic will put on a mind blowin set. hopefully they are on the late night schedule.

Apollo Sunshine recordings sound fun! Hold steady dudes are funny...and speak their mind!
But My votes go for.... THE ROOTS 40,000 white kids pumping their fists...a site to see.. The Flaming Lips - last time was a party. I'm on the 03 DVD at Lips with a bunny outfit if that says anything.
and the underdog.... Spearhead and Franti... there will be some jumping and fist pumping here as well!!!!

You could safely count on all the DJ artists: Shadow, Girl Talk and Sasha/Digweed.
I would think shadow would be relatively tame. the other 2 i agree wholeheartedly
maybe you are right..i was just thinkin about his live album and it sounded like the crowd was into it but i just didnt see it as that much of a 'party' compared to the other electro/dance acts.
Rx Bandits will put on an insanely energetic show. Gogol Bordello will probably do the same, especially in they crowd surf on the drum. Apollo Sunshine will put on a good show too. Their shows are energetic and plain happy-go-lucky. Theres is no doubt that there wont be a lack of energy at Roo this year. Im also intrigued about the Mardi Gras Indians, that will probably be a party.
Maybe I'll throw myself to the dogs, but my back's not to the wall Maybe I'll lay some bricks for the man, but the days just aren't that long So if I settle back and chill will I see far enough to feel the angel's dream? I thought it was the Story of the World!
No not at all, in my opinion hes one of, if not the best guitar players out there. It just makes me angry when people refer to Ween as a joke band. Their some of the best musicians out there who just dont take themselves "too seriously."

you know, I feel sort of the same thing toward Tenacious D. Kyle is a real badass on the guitar, the D just tend to not be that serious.
