Though there isn't that one big name female artist/band this year (Ani, Raitt, & Krauss) there seems to be plenty of female performers this year, which was lacking last year. Out of all of them I am looking forward to see Feist. I have been listening to her stuff alot lately and can't wait to see how her studio stuff translate live. How about everyone else?

Not that it will happen, but my crush on PJ Harvey could be remedied if she would just play the Sonic Stage one time. If there is a god, this will happen in my life.

1977's "A Piece Of The Action" is a great place to start! Smooth, soulful and funky! Old-school soul at it's finest! Check it out.
1993's "The Voice" Produced (in part) by Prince, this is a newer, fresher approach to what she does best. Actually more "traditional" in some parts but, with a cleaner/slicker approach. Definitely one of my favorites.

Great. I will be on a look out for those..maybe e-bay or a used cd store in the city(NYC that is) if I don't like it I won't feel too bad.
Chalk me up to Regina Spektor. I've been listening to her a lot recently after one of my freinds introduced me to her and she is now a show I really want to stop by and see.

Gillian Welch for me. After seeing her on the 2004 Bonnaroo DVD playing Caleb Mayer.....I turned into a believer. David Rawlings can tear it up on the guitar as well, can't wait to see them!
