LIGuy: I don't know if your ticket price is being refunded since your show is just postponed but if it is I'm interested in something.
The club I bought my tix through uses Ticketweb. They refunded every cent, including fees and postage! I wonder if the big boys like Ticketmaster would do the same (I doubt it). Just curious to see what your ticket seller does (assuming you get a refund, of course)
I actually went through the venue( Webster Hall) itself to purchase the tickets.If I had purchased the ticket on the web it would have also been through ticketweb.The clubs website states they will do a refund, but I think I will hold on to my ticket for the 16th of next month.

That reminds me of the time they stopped Senator Ted Kennedy from boarding a flight, because his name was on a "suspected terrorists" list. Of course, that got cleared up in just a few hours. Hmmm... I wonder why they didn't tell Mr. Kennedy that he'd have to wait 3 months before a review?

The Kennedy situation was one thing. Most of the Kennedy fortune was Russian mafia money. There was alot more to that than meets the eye. This was a tragedy. To say that almost 3,000 people who most likely loved their country were killed by their government is just so insanely disrespectful to me.
I've traveled through the country extensively since then and I can tell you in my experiences that the further you get away from NY the more you hear this sh*t. I really wish I could appropriatly explain to these people what its like to have your backyard turn into a war zone, but its just not worth it.

While I don't believe the theories that our government was involved, I do believe our government ignored many clues and in effect allowed 9/11 to happen. To not acknowledge that is just as disrespectful to me.
They'll be at Bonnaroo, I'm sure they'll find a way. I really don't understand why they are having trouble in the first place. Just because Rodrigo has a similar name to someone who isn't allowed in? If that's the real reason, then I've lost a lot of trust (the little I had) in our government. How long can it possibly take us to figure out that they aren't the same guy!?!
Well, it took a coworker of mine 2 years to get cleared in a similar situation. She lives in Manila and has the same name as a known terrorist, so it was virtually impossible for her to get a US work visa.
Hopefully Rodrigo's "celebrity" will help speed things along.

Mr. Sanchez is officially clear to continue Rodrigo Y Gabriela's highly-anticipated U.S. tour beginning on April 14 in Los Angeles, CA. The band will also perform live on The Jimmy Kimmel Show on April 13.

I finally got to see rodgab last night in NYC and it was worth the month wait after the who passport issue. I watch them from the front as they just randomly played without a set list and just enjoyed playing their first show of the tour.
Without going too much in-depth what they played, I will say they played alot of stuff on the new cd and a handful of fun covers in a time span of an hour and fifty minutes. the show ended with a surprise guest, which was mentioned by Rodrigo at the beginning of the show. To everyone's surprise, the surprise guest was Alex Skolnick of Testament!!! I don't listen to metal much anymore, but Testament is one of those bands I deeply respect. They jammed out to Dave Brubeck's "Take Five" for at leas 8-9 minutes before they went into one last song for the evening. Overall, this was a very enjoyable show and I recommend them to anyone who is on the fence on seeing them at Bonnaroo this year.
