I would like to see them at 'Roo again. Regardless of whether or not Cactus is there too (Although a repeat of their 2005 set would kick ass). They play about 200+ shows a year, I figure one of those could be Bonnaroo.

Karma for agreeing with me. And I like your point about how they are better by themselves. Despite the great show last year, I think Trey's solos hindered the Duo's music. Mike is a lot better, mainly because his low-ended, futuristic bass goes much better with the music; however, to truely appreciate how talented those guys are you need to hear them by themselves. They really opened new doors within the neo-jazz genre by use of their "wall of sound" technique.

It was scheduled as Mike Gordon W/ the Duo on the artist roster. Funny thing is that I saw him walking the festival grounds right before he the Duo were to go on.

I see, my bad, i thought i heard something about his show at bonnaroo being his last with the duo. Its possible they said that, and he just played with them again, but i dont remember that well.

I just double checked and it was actually billed as at 10K as The Duo featuring Mike Gordon, so maybe Bonnaroo '05 was the last time he played a full set with them.

Maybe I'll throw myself to the dogs, but my back's not to the wall Maybe I'll lay some bricks for the man, but the days just aren't that long So if I settle back and chill will I see far enough to feel the angel's dream? I thought it was the Story of the World!

The show at Roo '05 was amazing, one of my all time favorites. Mike came out on the 3rd or 4th song I think. That My Pet Goat blew my mind, so did the rest of the set. It was crazy when they played Mike's Song at the end of the set and everyone sang.
I'd love to see Mike reunite with the Duo at roo. I believe his show with them in 05' was his last, so it'd be cool to see him with them again.
Are you talking about just mike and the duo or trey, mike and the duo? cause i saw em in early 06 in atl together (t, m & duo that is) but if you are talking about the duo with just mike, then nevermind....
i really enjoyed when they were all playing together but at the begining of the show, it was jsut the Duo jammin and it was goood. I also met mike that night before he went onstage. He was just out chillin in the audience. Hes a unique guy....
