OK...so I am a freak.....and an accountant...so I know my way around a spreadsheet. The WS announcement today said that they would hit all states in which they have yet to play. So that got me to thinking about finding these states. So I checked around and their page has set lists for all of their shows (supposedely). Anyway, I dumped all of these dates into Excel and then did so editing and extracted the state...then cross-referenced that with a list of the 50 states. I was only able to show that they have played 29 states....so I show 21 states they haveven't played. So that means that at least 5 of these can be ignored. I would like to think that 2 of these are Alaska & Hawaii...leaving only 3 of these that aren't accurate. Anyway...for what it is worth...here is the list of states that I show them as not having played...
ALABAMA ALASKA ARKANSAS CONNECTICUT DELAWARE HAWAII IDAHO IOWA MAINE MISSISSIPPI NEBRASKA NEW HAMPSHIRE NEW MEXICO NORTH DAKOTA SOUTH CAROLINA SOUTH DAKOTA TENNESSEE UTAH VERMONT VIRGINIA WEST VIRGINIA WYOMING
I personally can't wait to see where they play in MS...I wonder if they will play in Jackson, on the coast, or possibly somewhere like the Delta (a show in Clarksdale would be unbelievable).
Anyway, I hope someone out there is as stoked about this as I am.
Well that doesn't mean that they are ONLY going to these states...but it is a safe bet that these states are going to get shows. Great news for Southerners...

If they play NOVA, I'm gonna be pissed. All the good bands play in the shity part of VA. All those damn northern Virginians think that they are the shit, and say they are from NOVA like its a seperate f ucking state. Are they somehow better than us down here in southern Virginia? To make NOVA worse, I've never been anywhere there where I can order sweet tea. For that reason I declare that Richmond and anywhere north of Richmond is the North.
So if the White Stripes are gonna play a bunch of southern states, then why not play in southern Virginia, or Charlottseville (the only city in northern Virginia that I like).
NOOOOOOOO!!! I was hoping that they had not played Memphis (despite Jack spending a good bit of time here recording over the years). Well, the TN one doesn't really impact the list since they had TN covered with Bonnaroo anyway...but I am still hoping for a Memphis show. I have been to Earnestine and Hazel's. It is just a tiny little bar downtown. It would have been great to have seen them there that long ago.
Also, on the shows I checked, I just pulled the list I used from their page, but I'm not surprised to see there are other shows out there. Their page was for set lists...maybe they don't know the set list from those shows and didn't list them. Thanks!

A show in Clarksdale would be AWESOME. I am from Clarksdale. Actually, Moon Lake. And I know that Jack White is very enamored with the delta blues scene. Gosh, I love jack white...he's so cool. Sorry, I reverted back to a 15 yr old school girl for a second. Now, I'm back. wheww. Anyways, a show there would be great, I bet he could do it at ground zero (morgan freeman's bar). We can hope!

I agree. I was actually thinking about another place too...the Shack Up Inn would be really cool...Just put up a stage in that courtyard area. I think that they are doing some shows there now (I think N. MS All-stars were there in '06). Anyway, how cool would it be to get a shack and have that show there?

Lately alot of bands (like TOOL for instance) have been playing in Southaven, MS. Biloxi is another possible city...And what about Hattiesburg?
...but I imagine that this is more like it. I wouldn't be surprised to see them play the DCC either...although, on the Get Behind Me Satan tour, they were playing theatres, which would mean that a show at the Orpheum in Memphis would make more sense. However, this doesn't count as a show in MS...so who knows. I hope they play the following:
Roo Nashville Memphis Clarksdale (dreaming), Southaven, or Jackson Birmingham Little Rock
I think I could catch most (if not all) of those shows).

No, what would be awesome is if Modest Mouse and the White Stripes put on a concert together in either Clarksdale or Oxford. You know that Modest mouse does all there recording in Sweet Water studios in Oxford. you that kinda pisses me off that they can record in these towns, but don't bother to put on a show.

I know...Jack was at Ardent in Memphis for months a few years back...and it always irritated me that he "loved Memphis so much" but didn't play here...but yes...WS/MM would be unbelievable.
