...then don't miss the Black Angels this year. They have the same driving, insistent sound with elements of psychedelia. Maybe there's been a thread on these guys already, but I urge you to pick up a copy of Passover and get it into heavy rotation right now.
I can definitely second the recommendation of The Black Angels live. Not a huge fan of their album, but their live show is really worth checking out. That is to say, while checking out their music will probably help you out before the seeing them, their sound transcends their songwriting and makes it unnecessary for you to be acquainted with their work before seeing them.
That said, it'd be severely misleading to compare them to the Secret Machines. The Black Angels are very specifically psychadelic whereas the Secret Machines are much more middle of the road stylistically. So I would suggest, if you're into very traditional 60s psychadelic music or are at all familiar with what more recent bands like Black Mountain, Dead Meadow or Gris Gris have been doing, check out the Black Angels. But if you're looking for the epic stoner sound of the Secret Machines specifically, you're better off checking out another Austin band that's been around for over a decade, ...And You Will Know Us By the Trail of Dead.

Now that would be an addition I could stand behind.
