that would make -noone- happier than i, but looking around at the general lineup and their other commitments, i'm going to say i don't think 'roo is actively pursuing them and they will likely not be there.
Maybe I'll throw myself to the dogs, but my back's not to the wall Maybe I'll lay some bricks for the man, but the days just aren't that long So if I settle back and chill will I see far enough to feel the angel's dream? I thought it was the Story of the World!

I don't think there is a band on the line-up this year that was there last year. I really think Superfly is trying to not have any acts perform back to back years anymore.( which is just stupid in my opinion) There are some bands that put on such a good show they should have a spot at B-Roo unless they aren't touring or turn down the offer.

hey xiphoid, i know your local, are you planning on going to jam on the river, its only a 10 minute drive for me, mabey a little longer for you but still worth the trek.
The Disco Biscuits are extremely overjoyed to announce that they will be headlining the Jam On The River Festival in Philly for the 5th year in a row! This year's lineup is absolutely ridiculous!
The Disco Biscuits will play last on Saturday, May 26 at the Great Plaza at Penn's Landing. They will also perform a special late-night show at the Electric Factory on Sunday, May 27. On Saturday, they will be joined by Common and Bustle in your Hedgerow, featuring Joe Russo and Marco Benevento! That night, Conspirator will play a special late-night show at the Electric Factory with STS9 (Sound Tribe Sector 9), who plays at the Great Plaza on Sunday before the Biscuits' Factory throw-down! In addition to STS9, the Sunday lineup includes performances by Dark Star Orchestra, the Wailers, and John Butler Trio. Grimace Federation will appear at the Factory with the Biscuits!
TICKET FOR THIS EVENT WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR PRE-SALE ON MONDAY, APRIL 9 THROUGH BISCOTIX. Tickets go on-sale to the general public on Saturday, April 14.
There will be a full package available with hotels, transportation, and tickets. Details to come on Monday at www.jamontheriver.com.
i'm doing the nyc sts9 show on friday, then saturday a friend of mine has an annual drinking party (www.finkfarmfest.com) so i can't go the saturday JOTR shows, then sunday night im doing the sts9 show at the plaza and the bisco late night at the factory.
edit: i was on the bisco site this morning, and it said tickets are on sale at 5pm.

Mute Math.....I think that's about it. Oh yeah, Lewis Black, and that IS it.

I don't get that. I understand you want to stay progressive and all, but you are letting down a lot of veteran Rooers who want original acts. I'm still pissed about MMW and Les

sigh*
I totally agree with you roo. Because you know that Les, MMW, RR, Umph and Bisco would jump at the offer to play at Bonnaroo. Or at least, I would hope that they would. I think that it's just AC/Superfly being a stingy little sally sourbritches whose obsessed with having the most progressively and innovative lineup out there. Change is good, but not always!!

I'm a veteran rooer and I'm not let down AT ALL! I'm kinda glad a good portion of the usual suspects are MIA this year. I'm kinda tired of seeing MMJ and Trey at roo all the time. I like Les and MMW, but I've seen em a few times now at Roo alone and I'm ready for some new blood.
John: We don't even understand our own music Spider: It doesn't, does it matter whether we understand it? At least it'll give us . . . strength John: I know but maybe we could get into it more if we understood it

I see where you are coming from. I haven't been to as many 'Roos as you so I just look forward to seeing those guys there each year. Luckliy Les is playing the 13th, the night before I go to 'Roo. I could of gone to MMW, but I expected them to be there since they have been all but one year. I made the error of assumption, I guess.
