Now, I don't know if this will even be possible, but since I haven't heard of most of these bands, I was hoping for some help. I would like your help categorizing the cafe bands. Let's say we have these choices: Indie Rock Folk Jazz Jam Hip Hop/R&B/Rap
Now, I know that there are thousands of different genres out there, but I would like to generalize for the sake of brevity. So, if you have heard these bands and want to put your two cents in, I am all ears!! Thanks, guys and girls!!
Biscuit Burners - bluegrass The Whigs -- indie rock Billie Joel's daughter -- jazzy singer-songwriter Smokin' Dave and the Premo Dopes -- alt-country/garage rock

Thanks guys! I plan on trying to look everyone up on my space to get a taste of their music. I would like to have an idea of who I want to make sure to see. but there are a lot of bands and was hoping to rule some of them out. I don't particularly like jazz, so... anyway, I know most people would be like, you should listen to them yourself and make up your own mind. Honestly, I just didn't want to have to go look up each and every one on the list. what can I say...I am lazy.

Whatever genres you fine folks here figure out for the cafe artists, I will incorporate them into my genre thread for all the rest of the bands. Have one massive thread completely for genres if that is cool with the thread starter for this thread.
Edit: Here are the cafe artists that do not have a home yet on my thread: Favourite Sons Fiction Plane Jennifer Niceley Brandy Robinson Salvador Santana Band Jonah Smith Jesse Sykes and the Sweet Hereafter Tenderhooks Tin Cup Prophette The Westside Daredevils
"That's the big thing about education. People can be book smart, but not really intelligent about anything else. A lot of times they just taking in all this information and regurgitate it. It's much more important to process it and personalize it. To apply it to your world, to your life. You have to walk the walk, or you can't really report about it honestly."
