Dinosaur Jr. has announced dates for the 15 through the 17th, so an add does not look likely. I'm probably the only one who cares, but yeah, check it out here: www.dinosaurjr.com/home.tour.htm
all the more reason to catch the ('reunion') tour this summer.

There's some folks on here (Myself included) who had been hoping for DJ this year.
Now I go onto dreaming about Frank and The Pixies showing up.
I was born in the back seat of a Yellow Cab in a hospital loading zone and with the meter still running. I emerged needing a shave and shouted 'Time Square, and step on it!
Yeah, earlier in the year, allot of other members and myself were hoping for em, and it seemed kinda likely, but nothing came of it. I war really sad, they were rumoured at the same time as PJ, and I was really looking forward to the great late 80s early 90s vibe.

lame, good thing i already saw them in noho
I'm jealous. I still haven't had a chance to see them live. A close friend of mine was at Coachella when they played, and didn't even bother to see them.
I do however have some good news. Last night while reading this thread I decided to catch up with the news in Pixiesland. Over the past 2 years I've been hearing so much crap. One second they're recording and releasing a new record, then the next day it falls apart. Good news is that they just began playing a few festivals over in Australlia and Europe (I think, might just be AUS). Apparently they hit the studio in January, but no new news on an album.
So, Frank and Kim haven't killed each other yet so there's still hope. They also are one of those bands who could get by not being a headliner, so there's still a shot (Small one) of them being in the additions.

I'ma huge DJ fan. But i'll be honest. I'm not sure if I'd want to see them now. For me they are a big part of the sound of an era...i guess there'a new album right...i dunno I saw them in 1993 and in a weird way i want them to stay "there". the 90's are long gone and as much as the 2000s have been awful for American culture i think i want them to saty dead. of course as the retro things picks up they'll be more of the old from that era too...then i'm oficially old...and maybe that's all i am avoiding. Sorry for the ramble...so there's a tour huh? Oh god now i'm gonna go investigate dates....
