But I downloaded some live White Stripes tunes yesterday. I basically just wanted to say that I absolutely cannot wait for this show.
This is my first Bonnaroo (age 17) and I sort of stumbled upon this whole thing on accident when I heard that the White Stripes were getting together starting at some crazy Tennessee festival. I investigated and now here I am.
Sure there are a lot of great bands that I can't wait to see. Saturday in particular looks like a busy day for me. But the main reason that I'm going lies in Jack and Meg.
Besides the White Stripes love, I just wanted to express my appreciation of the bands that I've discovered since buying my ticket. Rodrigo y Gabriela, The National, STS9, Widespread Panic, etc. I've also looked closer at the Flaming Lips and Ween and now they are two of my must sees.
Lastly, and I know I'm rambling, I just wanted to say Thank You to everyone on here for being so cool and welcoming to new members. Can't wait to meet/jam with everybody that I can.

Thank you and Good night.
word dude, I have discovered lots of bands The White Stripes, The Black Keys, Michael Franti and Spearhead, etc. I didn't really give the White Stripes a chance until they got booked for Roo, and now I am a huge fan like yourself. Thats the beauty of Bonnaroo.
Feel free to keep asking any questions you may have. We are a community that loves to answer the questions almost as much as u want the answer.

I haven't been. Music's been a huge part of my life oddly enough. My dad owns a CD store and I've been off and on to concerts. Nothing like this though.
I graduate in May from high school and I can honestly say that I'm more excited about Bonnaroo then graduation.

Getting to hear all these bands I wouldn't normally know about is why I fell in love with Bonnaroo. Most of these bands aren't played on any radio station in my area. I came for Dave and Friends in 2004. Since then my musical tastes has greatly expanded and I have been to every roo since. With the lineups they keep giving us I don't know if I'll ever miss one.

it's not pointless to post about being excited for roo, that's the main point of the board!! glad you're going to experience a fest for the first time at bonnaroo, and that you're finding bands that are new to you. have a blast and welcome to the board!
