Alright everyone, I have heard recently that people don't care the color scheme of the forum. I am doing a survey of what would be good for you guys. I want everyone to list what color the background should be, the text and links. This will be a help to us mods to decide the new look. Thanx
Yeah, I like Kampy's blue-blue-orange idea; it's much nicer on the eyes.
not to nitpick, but that background is actually gray, not light blue. I just lifted the colors directly from the roo site, as misterjerkface suggested...
and i now have a layered photoshop file set up so i can quickly mock up some new colors if anybody wants to see what other colors would look like
I think the bonnarooo colors is a great idea, but maybe a darker grey than the one you showed as the backdrop. About the same color grey that you have as the table now. It'd look better with the orange and blue.

i would say white with black text..... with ligth gray being the everyother post... i just like dark text on light background for large amounts of reading....the easiest thing to view are your own posts as you are typing them...

i totally agree, it should be darker
Like this? DKGRY_BLU_ORG
As opposed to this? LTGRY_BLU_ORG
I personally prefer the light gray background as far as color combos go, even though the dark gray is definitely easier to read against... just remember these samples are way small, and one typically doesn't read the text on that part of the pg anyway...
Here's another variation of the 'roo scheme: ORG_BLU_DKGRY
