About a few weeks ago i saw rocco deluca in charlotte,nc. he freakin blew me away. it was one of the best shows ive seen in a very long time. you might have seen him in their documentary with keither sutherland on vh1. his singer/songwriting ability surpasses 95% of the music out there already. just listen to his music and you will know what i am talking about. i mean, he is one of the acts you must see at bonnaroo.
Hooray, Rocco is finally getting some respect on this board! I agree, he is one of my favorite new artists. I saw him last October opening for Robert Randolph, and he knocked my socks off. I really think he will surprise some folks. I wish the Burden was playing him also. Don't miss this guy, he is impressive.
Rocco's set was one of my top three from the whole weeekend. Just throwing that out there to remind others to check out his album "I trust you to kill me". Next time he needs to be at a tent though, the lounge was packed for his set.
Another Rocco fan! Saw his show on VH1 w/ Keifer Sutherland by chance and was so impressed by him, I picked up the CD. Fell in love, it's a CD where the whole collection of songs are great and different and fabulous together or individually. I saw him in Baltimore with The Burden this Spring (unfort he was with The Feeling and Mat Kearney so the audience didn't fully "get" him) and was able to get a decent seat for his performance at Bonnaroo. Both shows were good, and not copies of one another, which I always love.
He said he didn't perform with his band at Roo because they could only afford to fly him out. they would ROCK at a tent!!
oh, and I am such a dork, but if you befriend RDB on MySpace they send you a Happy Birthday comment on your birthday and have been known to respond to messages and comments personally. Very nice!
