I was born in the back seat of a Yellow Cab in a hospital loading zone and with the meter still running. I emerged needing a shave and shouted 'Time Square, and step on it!

Fell asleep listening to Tortoise's TNT last night. Highly reccomended chillout music for simultaniously calming/appeasnig the Roo excitement. only a month to go!!!!!!
John: We don't even understand our own music Spider: It doesn't, does it matter whether we understand it? At least it'll give us . . . strength John: I know but maybe we could get into it more if we understood it
I'll Sleep when your dead, EL-P. Dear Sirs has such a great beat. Really looking forward to this set.
I am trying to limit myself to music that I will be seeing with my friends and that is new. I know that it sucks to limit yourself on music, but since I have a good feeling that me and my people will be at this show, I am getting super acquianted with this album.
On the other hand, I keep putting off re-listening to the new Kings of Leon, because I am pretty sure that if I go to this show that I will be riding solo, and there is a severe chance that Kings of Leon will be conflicting with another set on Friday (Friday still seems unbelievably loaded full of stuff).
Anyways, I am trying not to get myself jacked up on too many bands, because it is going to be painful come schedule day. Specifically, if I have to make the choice of seeing certain bands solo, or going to see other bands that I like but maybe not as much with my friends. Not trying to be a conformist, but it is always nice to see shows with your buds.
i got hung up somewhere and missed him friday here ... so should i check him out at the roo ?? cr****
The album is great, but like many hip-hop acts, I believe the live show might be questionable. And I am not saying that all hip-hop sucks live, because I have seen plenty of good hip-hop shows, but hip-hop shows are very hit or miss.
I figure since I am digging the album so much, I will at least check him out. It could be some sort of Hip-Hop bonanza with Shadow, El-P, Aesop, Blockhead, whoever else. That sounds like good stuff to me. But sometimes if there is too much going on in a hip-hop show then it brings down the quality of the show. (i.e. too many people on the stage yelling along with the songs)
If the sound is off or it is just a bad show, then I know I will have plenty of other options.
Oh MJ - The Little Ones From Beale Street to Oblivion - Clutch ("im going back to tennessee - back where i come from" - great lyric - makes me want to drive across the tn border right now!) The Pot - Tool Hotel Yorba - TWS Synchronicity II - The Police
Wings for Marie comes off amazing, live. They really bust out the lasers for that one!
last song i heard that got me hyped for Bonnaroo is Around the World by Daft Punk. They aren't on the line up, but it still got me real hyped for some reason.
in the list would be - Decemberists - Sons and Daughters
*i like coconuts, you can break them open they smell like ladies lyin in the sun** *Hell I don't even know where I am** *for now I must sit here and ponder the yonder: The herbivores did well cause their food didn't never run** *We listen, if it feels good We shake** *You made a big impression for a girl of your size, Now I can't get by without you and your big brown eyes.**

I have a playlist that I am shuffling, right now I've got Aesop Rock going.
I can't believe it's only a month away. We've been waiting for this for so long, all over the country, and in 4 weeks we're all going to be on the same farm...
well, you ask me why i'm drunk all the time it levels my head and eases my mind i just walk along and stroll and sing i see better days and i do better things

I have the superjam set from last year as well as the radiohead set...and i've been listening to them so much that it has become an unhealthy obsession.
Every time i hear the live version of "paranoid android" from last year, i feel like i'm there all over again...not so great when you are sitting behind a desk trying to look busy...
