Love the vids. I'd suggest checking out some of the interviews posted on YouTube as well. Really cool insight into the heads of the Kings
I spent the better part of a Saturday watching many, many KOL interview vids on YouTube and really enjoyed it. I had no idea they were so into fashion or about their family roots, etc. KOL will be my #1 must see band at Roo. Since they are so big, unlike in '03, they will probably be on a stage instead of a tent and I'm almost dreading it because it will be too hot in the sun and Caleb won't get to see my "Bohemian dancing".
In '05 they were on the Which Stage. It wasn't very crowded and I remember being able to walk right up and get pretty damn close, but like you said they are bigger now and I have a feeling they'll be opening up the mainstage. Hopefully it won't be too crowded, seems unlikely though.
Another FYI, I saw the Kings last night again in Louisville and they were great once again. Almost an identical setlist except switch Charmer and Black Thumbnail. It was really hot in the venue (Headliners Music Hall) and Caleb said in between songs that he was sorry if he threw up on the audience because of the heat and dehydration. They still killed the set, despite the heat, and I thought Matthew was especially on point on lead guitar.
They got bumped up to mainstage this year, and it says on their website they're playing Friday. I'm thinking like a 3PM set on the mainstage. Here's a link to an article about them being bumped up:
"The Kings of Leon occupied one corner, with Nathan Followill chatting up good pal Chris Coleman from Luna Halo. Nathan excitedly shared that his band has been bumped up to the main stage for Bonnaroo, a feat that will have them playing for an audience of at least 50,000 and certainly hyping the hell out of their new album, Because Of The Times."
And Trix, they are my number 1 band to see as well!
I wanna see them jam songs like ragoo for bonnaroo. In Houston there dad was actually there because caleb said papa leon was there. It was a loud ass concert and I believed him when he said it was there favorite so far on the tour. Dallas was good too but not like the Houston show. SOOO good...SEE THEM LIVE OR MISS THEIR TRUE MUSIC.
The Kings are also my number one band to see as well! This will be my first time seeing them; I missed the Louisville show because I didn't want to go up there by myself. Personally, I'm quite happy to see the mix of old and new songs, especially "Soft" because it was the first Kings of Leon song I heard and really loved. It's a jam. Anyway, what I'm trying to say is that I'm really pumped about their set. haha.
I know I'm a freak (that and I absolutely love the Kings) but I saw them again in Cleveland last night. Same exact setlist as the first time, though a lot of energy and at a pretty cool venue (House of Blues). Caleb said during the encore that it was their favorite show of the tour so far, and man could you tell. Matthew, Jared, and Caleb had some great stage interaction, really amazing energy, and they all looked like they were having a ton of fun (especially Matthew, which was great because he's usually extremely quiet and emotionless). Probably the best of the three that I've seen. Next up: Tomorrow night in Cincinnati (my hometown)! Then, the Roo!

What I'm curious to know is the girl mentioned in Slow Night, So Long where he says "I hate her face, but enjoy the company" the same girl he mentions in Taper Jean Girl where he adds "taper jean girl with a motel face".
A motel face? Haha, whatever that is it cracks me up : )

I'm slowing catching on, and when I do it's so fun to sing.
Now again is this the same girl he wants to knock up in the new album? I'm messing around, but it's funny how he seems to mention all these girls they meet on the road or something...not forgetting to mention the trani >

Then there's Molly's Chambers. I don't always catch on too easy but when he says chambers does he mean well, umm, her rack?
If so that song makes sense. This girl is so hot that he's basically whipped, but all she wants is some fun. Usually in life it's the opposite, which makes this cool.
I have been a fan since the first CD came out. Can't say as I'm lovin' on the new disc though. I absolutely love the first two. They are a definate must see for me. Can't wait.

Chamber: # noun: a natural or artificial enclosed space # noun: a room where a judge transacts business # noun: an enclosed volume (as the aqueous chamber of the eyeball or the chambers of the heart) # noun: a deliberative or legislative or administrative or judicial assembly
Example: "The upper chamber is the senate"
# noun: a room used primarily for sleeping/ bedroom
I'm pretty sure he's talking about her bedroom (or what she can do in it), or her "enclosed space" (eg: her vag)

This is a reference to her nether-region a.k.a. her vagina. "You want it/She's got it". And "pistol" is a reference to his "member".
