I realize its been a couple weeks since Coachella, but I thought I'd give my 2 cents on some of the artists that will also be at Bonnaroo.
Stephen Marley Ft Jr Gong, was a nice afternoon (fairly tame) set with a few Bobby covers, bust mostly comprised of their solo works . I wouldn't go out of my way to see it again, nor would I say its as much of a party as I thought it might be. But if you are into either of these two artists, It was a good live interpretation of what you get on album.
Hot Chip, if you like these guys at all, GO SEE THIS SET. One of the best of the entire festival, a dance party the whole time. They put together a really fun show, and seem to be having alot of fun themselves. If you don't know these guys I recommend checking them out, and don't be afraid they wont be able to bring it live. This could also be a late night set that goes into another band. Possibly a Hot Chip>Girl Talk>Sasha/Digweed. Even though they are a live band, they have the right dance feel for that.
The Nightwatchmen, if you dig some good old fashioned protest folk, this is a set to go to. I can't say I blown away, but I'm happy i was there. The set was comprised of originals from the new album and ended with a cover of this land is your land, with perry (from janes addiciton) boots (from the coup) and the crowd all singing along. There is no doubt in my mind that there will be a few guests for the Bonnaroo show.
The Decemberists, I'm pretty sure this one will be a huge hit or miss. I wasn't THAT impressed with the set, but I bet alot of people were. I think if you like these guys, you should check em out. If not though, I don't think you'll get anything new from their live performance.
The Roots, I don't believe there is any explanation needed for these guys, but just in case you have been living under a rock GO SEE THESE GUYS. These guys always know how to entertain a crowd. I'm hoping for a long late night set to start things off for Galactic, but only time will tell. Unless these is a must-see at the same time, put this at the top of your list.
Manu Chao, this is case where the best DOES come last. Best set of the festival, and I wouldn't be surprised if I come home fom Bonnaroo with the same opinion. This guy knows how to party and he knows how to get a crowd to join him. Half the crowd sings along. Think Ozo mixed with Spearhead, add some Rancid and you are half way to what Manu Chao is. I don't think a single person attending the Roo would not have a good time at his set.
also right before Coachella we went to see Mute Math, once again a great show, these guys need to be on late though, because the lights a ridiculous. Check them out, the create instruments and go crazy on stage. ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT SHOW. I doubt any thing you see can recreate what they do live, but they did just release a live dvd that show a fairly good impression of their show.
This is not supposed to be a review of Coachella, just a collective of artists that will be at Bonnaroo. These are all just opinions, I'm sorry if you don't happen to share them.

i saw full sets from Bjork (mezmerizing), Interpol (alot better than i thought they'd be), Of Montreal (lots of fun), Comedians of Comedy (hillarious), Mike Relm (Coolest dj out there?), Arcade Fire ('nuff said), Fratellis (decent pop-rock), Rage (reunited and it feels so goooooood), Placebo (same as with interpol, didn't really know their music, but the set was great), Kaiser cheifs (don't care what anyone says, they are a good amount of fun)
And I saw a few songs from jesus and mary chain and the arctic monkeys, and and suprisingly EXTREMELY boring few songs from The Good the Bad and the Queen, besides them being boring, the biggest dissapointment was Air, which was one of my Must-see's, we stayed for 30 minutes after they were supposed to start, then decided to get a good spot for Manu/RAGE, from what I hear, they came on for 25 minutes, so thats weak sauce.
All around I like Bonnaroo WAY better than Coachella, but this year their was deff. some great sets, I seemed to have had a better time than last year, probably because I took it easier. The only thing Coachella has over roo is the Palm trees at sunset, which is beautiful, otherwise, give me the longer sets and more variety.

I heard that the comedians of comedy were dying up there. Their jokes weren't funny and they had to resort to making stupid jokes about a train that kept going through the area and honking it's horn which would drown them out. I msyelf find Zack Galifanakis and Patton Oswalt hilarious.

Well shit, I had no idea Ziggy was there...go figure....I guess I just saw Marley and ran with it. As for the CoC, I didn't get there until Zach so you are probably right.
Also went to the Stephen/Damien Marley show at Coachella. Thought it was great. I hope these guys get added to the bill, I saw them all here at Street Scene in San Diego a couple years ago and that was my favorite show of the whole festival.
Also saw El-P at Coachella. I am not a huge fan of his style, but I would have to say his show was interesting and had a lot of enegry - and the DJ solo was off the flipping hook - Blackalicious Alphabet Aerobics mixed with Beastie Boys and Cypress Hill and I think PE too. I may catch him again depending on who is playing at the same time.
I wasn't at Coachella, but I was at the Wanee Music Festival and my friends who saw Nickel Creek(I didn't see them, I was at Oteil and The Peacemakers), said they put on a great show.
