Ok I have heard both the cd and dvd are going to be released in June from someone who works at a cd shop. This would not suprise me. I saw the ecard and it looks like there is hope. The video of the Bonnaroo Experience is from Bonnaroo 2005. This gives hope for a Dvd and Cd. I have a hope that it will be released but right before the festival.
I have heard this too- they just went with a different company than last time. Still no idea if it's a solid fact, but I didn't put any trust in the rumor they weren't doing one either.
Interesting bits uncovered tonight... I don't know if anyone else has seen this:
From Third Wave's site: www.thirdwaveproductions.com/news.html "2005 Bonnaroo Festival Captured- While 80,000 fans enjoyed 3 days of non-stop music, the Third Wave Productions crew captured every note at the Bonnaroo Festival from 75 full-sets, on 5 stages. Artists included Dave Matthews Band, Black Crowes, Allman Bros., Joss Stone, Modest Mouse, Trey Anastasio, Kings of Leon, Bob Weir, My Morning Jacket, Jack Johnson, and Herbie Hanthingy. Over 175 hours of music was recorded multi-track, with about half the shows destined for re-mix by Third Wave and then downloadable sale at livebonnaroo.com."
ADDED: Elsewhere they more explicitly state:
"--Recorded 60 full sets and re-mixed 20 full sets on site at the Bonnaroo Festival.
--Recorded and produced 30 full sets for downloadable sale at livebonnaroo.com."

ME and my friends love Volta. Unfortunatley they couldnt go last year and I've never really been able to put it into words for them. This gives me hope they may get to see what I saw or at least hear what I heard. With this being said....Whats the 1, just 1 what group and song would you like to see on the dvd?
They ALWAYS end up leaving out key performances or key songs from an artists set. I'm not trying to complain because I really appreciate a nice DVD and CD to go along with the festival but I'm sure most people would agree that some of the choices they use on these releases are questionable. Other things I'm not aware of probably come into play though, legal stuff I'm assuming. I hate to sound like I'm always endorsing Umphrey's but I don't see how they could have been left off the '04 DVD. Their set had the biggest buzz I've ever heard of any show in the campgrounds that year. It seemed like everyone was talking about it and it was a huge step up in their career. To me it just seems like that was something worth documenting.
From last year I would want to see the Duo w/ Mike playing Mike's Song. It just gave me goosebumps hearing the entire tent singing the words. Since thats not all that realistic I'll go with "Half Moon Rising" by Yonder Mountain.

Yea Benevento was intense. It was my first time seeing them, and watching My pet goat sealed the deal. That audio is available for purchase on the liveBonnaroo thing. It would be nice to see it again though.
My first time seeing them too. I haven't purchased the livebonnaroo recording but I'm considering it. I have an audience recording of it and it's extremely bass heavy.

They did release a VIP DVD and I used to have it. I let someone borrow it years ago and have not seen one since. It was the first time we went VIP. Got a package of stuff like a t-shirt and poster and things when we arrived. Had to find some little place and ask for the DVD before we left out. Have been looking for a copy ever since mine got away.

I didn't know there was an '05 one. I did receive the '04 one (We Have Arrived) at '05, though. It's pretty amazing with a lot of differences from the commercial release.
