Okay I just remembered that the guitarest of King Crimson, Adrian Belew, lives in the Franklin (south of Nashville area on 65) area, and he is playing some solo gigs. Well his tour starts at the Mercy Lounge in Nasvhille on June 19th. I am thinking his warmup gig could be a guest spot on Tool since King Crimson toured with Tool in 2001. I am listening to a show where Belew did interludes and parts of songs with Tool on stage. How sweet if that was to happen, as a special Tool show.
"That's the big thing about education. People can be book smart, but not really intelligent about anything else. A lot of times they just taking in all this information and regurgitate it. It's much more important to process it and personalize it. To apply it to your world, to your life. You have to walk the walk, or you can't really report about it honestly."
John: We don't even understand our own music Spider: It doesn't, does it matter whether we understand it? At least it'll give us . . . strength John: I know but maybe we could get into it more if we understood it

i don't believe belew ever played with tool, robert fripp did. i wanted to see him with primus so bad. would be quite alright to see either of these legends with tool.
Yeah, I've gotta say, I never was a fan of Belew's solo materia or his work with King Crimson. I'm one of those guys that prefers the Crimson before Belew. But I do respect his talents and and love some of the work he's recorded with other artists/bands.
Here's to Fripp doing something surprising, maybe not this year, but possibly next.
