i didnt see a thread up to discuss this band so i thought id start one. im just now discovering them, ive only heard one song called "While you were sleeping" and i love it. but is there a difference between Elvis Perkins and Elvis Perkins In Dearland? or is that just the full name of his band?
oh yea, heres a fun fact... my history or the arts class was doing a unit on film and we were watching the original "Psycho" and my teacher told me that the guy who played Norman Baites (spelling?) has a son whos in a band and his name is Elvis Perkins. the very next day the intervew with him was posted on the bonnaroo page. pretty weird.

I love it, because while everyone is going on and on about how Ratdog has no schedule conflicts, I'm going on and on about how Elvis Perkins has no schedule conflicts
He is an amazing artist, even outside of his tragic past (his father the actor died of AIDS and his mother was on one of the hijacked planes on 9/11). His new album is truly incredible. A must-see in my book, and I'm excited he's doing a Sonic Stage appearance.

He and his band jammed with Matt Costa last year at Lolla and it was pretty fun. I caught some of their set as well and liked it. Definitely check-it-outable.

if hes around i am expecting to see him on stage with the cold was kids. they have done it before on the kids european tour and the most recent one here in the states for a few dates. here check this out:

yea i was listening to him last night and reconsidering it, espeacially after all the negative stuff ive heard about bob. ill just wait till then to make my descision.
