I have listened to a little music from both artists, but I'm not sure who to go see Thursday night. I hear Tea Leaf Green puts on a good show, but Rod and Gab are amazing guitar players.
Who would you see? Let the persuasion begin..........

I've been told that the youtube videos of Rod y Gab and seeing them live are two completely different things. Heard from a few people that they really aren't too outstanding live, so I'll probably be at Tea Leaf Green for most of this time, but I might check out Rod y Gab just so I can have my own opinion of it rather than rely on others.

sounds like you didn't check out youtube. many if not all the vids on there are live and amazing. also check out the live in dublin and manchester cd...they do an awsome version on metallica's one>take 5.
but seriously, check out the vids on youtube and pretty much what you see is what you'll get at roo.
TLG is doing a shorter acoustic set on the sonic stage on Friday. That's what put it over the edge for me. Both of these acts are/were must sees for me. I was more than a little irate when the schedule came out.
I'll be seeing RyG for a couple reasons...they tour a LOT less domestically than TLG. I have a much better chance of seeing TLG again the next time they roll through (saw em a few weeks back). That and the acoustic set on friday made me feel less guilty about skipping em on Thurs.
i've seen tlg a few times and while they're always a good show, i'm going to pick the act i haven't seen before in this scenario and be at rodrigo y gabriela for their full set.
it also helps that i want to catch some of clutch's set too and its more realistic to go from this tent > the other tent than from that tent > the other tent distance-wise.
Maybe I'll throw myself to the dogs, but my back's not to the wall Maybe I'll lay some bricks for the man, but the days just aren't that long So if I settle back and chill will I see far enough to feel the angel's dream? I thought it was the Story of the World!
My second biggest conflict after SCI, STS9. I am going to start with Rod and Gab, and if I am not as amazed as I am expecting to be, I will go to TLG. Rod and Gab are first, because I am sure I will get many more opportunities to see TLG.
