Is Charlie Hunter going to be there? I was looking around and heard yes he is, and no hes not. So I am just wondering if any of you truly kind inforooers can tell me whether or not he is playing in the Stanton Moore Trio on thursday.
it's pretty sure it's will bernard that will be on guitar with stanton. he is another bay area guitarist that is pretty close to the same caliber as charlie hunter...actually, will bernard was the second guitarist in TJ KIRK along with charlie hunter and scott amendola(also at roo) on drums. TJ KIRK specialized in playing music by Thelonious monk, James brown & rashand roland KIRK....hence TJ KIRK.

...also, their original name was gonna be James T. Kirk, but the star trek people were not down with that and threatened to sue, so they changed it to TJ KIRK and still got a play on names refering to characters played by will shatner.
He's definitely playing with Will Bernard on guitar. The bio on the bonnaroo website is outdated and is referring to the lineup on his old album - I would say there's little to no chance that Charlie Hunter would be there unannounced.
I'm guessing Brian coogan on B3 but there's an outside chance it could be Robert Walter.
I believe Will and Stanton are rounding out the Lou Donaldson/Lonnie Smith Quartet too, fwiw.

Holy Shit....if that it true then what a fucking badass quartet, probably the most all around and well balanced talent in all of the bands playing roo this year.
