crowds usually vary by band on thursday. I've seen some massive crowds, probably 20K deep for Pgroove in 05, and some light crowds, like for Rose Hill Drive.
I have both those bands on my list, hoping that the VIP party doesn't conflict too hard with them.
Humanity has advanced, when it has advanced, not because it has been sober, responsible, and cautious, but because it has been playful, rebellious, and immature.

yea, we walked right up to the rail for rose hill drive. but that's because no one knew who they were then. i was hoping there wouldn't be a big crowd for black angels. so i could get a spot there for mute math and clutch. but it looks like black angels have their own crowd.

we are going to go check out some other non music things after the Black Angels and probably a short bit of Mute Math. Figured it might be a good night for that sort of thing.
Has anyone ever listened to The Little Ones? I sampled them recently and they remind me a bit of The Shins, including their EP cover art which has similar stylings to Chutes Too Narrow - same artist maybe. Check them out if you're just roaming around.
Mute Math does indeed put on a spectacular live show, but The National's albums are excellent. I look forward to seeing a bit of both of them. If neither suits you, Langhorne Slim is a very interesting singer-songwriter that seems to be gaining some attention.
