Now I know I wasn't the only one who cought Tea Leaf Green..... for my money I'd rather see them headline over WSP.... smite away
I was disappointed by Tea Leaf Green. They were my first show of the festival and I was really looking forward to hearing them, but the sound system at the Other Tent made them sound crappy. Left early and went to Rodrigo Y Gabriela for one of the most pleasant surprises of my weekend.
We were down front for WSP and had a blast even though musically it wasnt my fav WSP show I've seen. Seemed like JB and Todd were "off" a couple of times- esp. on From the Cradle. Anyone else notice?
i went to this tent to relax and get out of the sun for a while on sunday until ratdog and caught ALL of Sonya Kitchell's set. She and her band blew me away. i couldn't leave...
Another one impressed with Clutch. My husband likes them and I think has a CD or two, but I sorta threw them in with all his other "angry music" bands that he enjoys. We saw them and i was BLOWN AWAY and now a major fan. Good stuff, and not until Bonnaroo did i knew that they were froma town 15 minutes from me!
Also another for Xavier Rudd. I saw a friend a week or two before Bonnaroo and he told me that Xavier was playing and was his girlfriend's favorite band. Well his girlfriend is a great girl, but we couldn't be more different. Happened upon the show and loved it so much, had to go and thank the friend and his GF for the recommendation or i may have left to another stage. Really good show, and I was surrounded by really good people in the crowd as well.
