Moe Train’s Tracks at Bonnaroo… What an amazing trip! We had the privilege of being the only podcast to have all-access coverage for the world’s largest grossing music festival (at least we didn’t see anyone else doing a podcast). We start the podcast off with a recap of our 15 hour drive from Bear, DE to Manchester, TN. All I can say is… Next time… We’re flying!
After making our way to Tennessee, we ended up at our destination which was the Manchester Walmart, where we took broke out the mic and captured some of the madness. A few hours later, we picked up our press passes, and headed on in to the Bonnaroo site. From the moment we entered the property, to the minute we left, it was a total sensory overload. King B and Moe Train take you on a first day tour of the grounds, as well as get an exclusive interview with Clutch’s frontman, Neil Fallon. After the interview, the Moe Train’s Tracks crew decides to celebrate a bit with our new DJ buddy, Donni Khan, and then we headed out into Centeroo to capture the mayhem of the first night… King B decides to refresh himself in the Centeroo fountain, and a bit of drama unfolds… Later on, Clutch hits the stage, and after a bit of a struggle, the Moe Train’s Tracks crew makes it back to their tents… which were 45 minutes from Centeroo!
Make sure you’re subscribed, so you don’t miss any of Moe Train’s Tracks crazy coverage of the Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival!! Don’t forget to check out the Ziggy Marley and Bobby Weir interviews which have already been posted! They were truly amazing and inspiring interviews, and it was our honor to get you, the listeners, the exclusive interviews that you can’t hear anywhere else!
PS - Audio of Inforoosters from Camp Bob Saget included!
"When I was 4 years old, they tried to test my IQ. They showed me a picture of three oranges and a pear. They asked me which one is different, and does not belong. They taught me different....is wrong." -- Ani Difranco
ha, don't feel bad guys, we never found our tent the first night. we probably saw each other a few times during all the walking around. we ended up crashing in the cinema tent.
Chris, I HAD to talk about the tent setup... We were a fuckin' mess! hahah... When B said that we got the tent on the way down, I just had to shake my head. He was lying, but I think I called him out on it at one point.
"The Camp Bob Saget, Bitches" part had me laughing when I was reviewing the material, because I didn't hear Lynne say it at the time (I was packing up). I think you guys will be popping up in the next podcast too. There was some fun material!
I dunno if you could tell... or listened to it, but the music that I put behind our commentary is very storytelling in itself... The triumphant entrance to suspense to humor to sad music... hahah
It's funny that you responded to this post today, because I just sat down with JM's business card to e-mail him (to tell him he made an appearance telling about his Clutch pit story). However, the card is half-destroyed. I can't read the whole e-mail address. BTW, your accent is fine! You're from the South! ROLL TIDE, BITCHES!
Sangreal... that walk was insane. I felt like I walked around the whole grounds! I should have crashed in one of those tents too, but I was afraid that I'd lose my recording equipment, or even worse, get it stolen!
I'll have the next Roo podcast come out soon... Hope you guys enjoyed it!
