I remember we had a thread before Bonnaroo that was about which day you thought would be your favorite. I thought I would make a follow up thread... Going in I was really excited about Friday, and it turned out to be my best day.
Here was my Friday:
The Little Ones (Sonic Stage)->Uncle Earl->Richard Thompson->The Nightwatchman->The Black Keys
I was in the front row for Uncle Earl and Richard Thompson, I was about 7 rows back center of the stage for Tom Morello, and I was 3 rows back, center of the stage for The Black Keys. So I had great spots for al of the shows, and Richard Thompson and the Nightwatchman back to back was probably the most incredible music experience I had at Bonnaroo. How about you guys? I will make a poll if I can figure out how to.
This word also has a underground meaning once you break it down. Let’s take “Bonn” for example and it actually turns into the word “Bone”. We all know gays use this word to describe the action of when they are fecal fisting their Cuban cabana boy at their sex bath house parties. Now let’s look at Roo, “Roo” is short for “Kangaroo”.So put the full true message together and you get“Bone a Kangaroo
Friday. Clearly the peak day of this years bonnaroo, imo. First year that has happenned to me. Usually it is Saturday for me. I sort of felt like the festival levelled off on Saturday and Sunday this year.
I would have to go with Saturday. Started out chilling the morning away at the Which Stage waiting for Old Crow Medicine Show. I met a very cool young lady who was a huge fan of OCMS and she really helped me get into the show (and what a show it was). I then spent the rest of the day hanging out on a blanket with my parents and sister and brother-in-law on the What Stage field for Ziggy, Ben Harper, and The Police. As someone who goes to Roo every year solo, spending that day with my family was a unique experience that I will never forget. After The Police I ran back to the campsite to change into my monk outfit and ran back to see The Flaming Lips. Unfortunately I couldn't get close for the Lips, so I ended up checking them out from near the VIP bleachers. This ended up being a blessing in disguise as I decided to wander around and ended up catching bits of 3 of the best shows of the weekend(FLips, Mule,& Galactic). Top the long Saturday off dancing until sunrise at Sasha & Digweed and the Arcade Tent before stumbling back to the campsite. A Saturday I will not soon forget... ;D

Def. Saturday Old Crow, Hot Tuna, Ween, Flaming Lips, Galactic. Despite a few clunkers in there (Police, Fountains of Wayne), Saturday was def my fav day. Even the police were OK, seeing as how i listened to most of their set from camp and from shakedown. FOW was just while waiting for Ween, so I can't really complain, and I kinda like some of their songs anyway so I'm glad I caught them.
John: We don't even understand our own music Spider: It doesn't, does it matter whether we understand it? At least it'll give us . . . strength John: I know but maybe we could get into it more if we understood it
Thursday. Could've been cuz it was my first roo, but it was solid throughout (despite getting there late cuz of flight delays). Caught a little bit of the Little Ones, full Sam Roberts set, full Langhorne Slim, full Rod y Gab, and full Whigs. Not a bad set in there at all. Easily one of the best nights of my life.

This year did have the most solid Thursday of any previous Bonnaroo IMO.

Saturday
OCMS Regina Spektor End of Fountains of Wayne Ween Police Flips Then I stumbled home. Now I wish that I had pushed myself to either Galactic, Mule, or Sasha and Digweed. Oh well. Next Year
Definitely Friday! My first 'Roo press con and then Morello, Morello and more Morello ;D (With some Uncle Earl, Tool and a Super Jam w/JPJ just to top it all off for the Perfect Day )
Managed to sleep 'til almost ten I think. Made use of the VIP showers, then headed over to camp inforoo for magaritas and sweet corn. The Bonnaroo breakfast of champions. Spent most of the afternoon chillin' in The Other Tent. Saw Railroad Earth and Hot Tuna. Staked my ground up front for Xavier Rudd, which was one of the highlights of my weekend. Ben Harper and the Police on the big stage. Late night Mule. Listened to the end of Mule and Sasha and Digweed from back at camp. It was the perfect Bonnaroo day and I got to spend it with someone really cool.
I'd say Saturday too. It started with Xavier Rudd then Keller. Big fun time at the Police, adventures at Flaming Lips but left for Mule which was epic, danced until dawn w/ Sasha.
Weirdly, I went in completely believing that Saturday was the day to beat, and then Friday and Sunday kicked my ass 6 ways to Sunday!
I was completely taken aback by how much I loved Cold War Kids, then Paolo and KoL were awesome, and then The Roots came out of NOWHERE and had the show of the weekend for me, followed by a very cool Tool set and the Superjam. I mean, really.
Saturday was as great as I expected, it just sucked because SO many acts I wanted to see were on that I had to split sets a few times.
Sunday was going to be my laid back day until I decided I NEEDED to be close for the Decemberists, so I ended up having a kickass spot for Pete Yorn, who was so great, and Wolfmother who blew the roof off the place, obviously the Decemberists set was amazing, and then Feist exceeded my very very high expectations.
So really, I can't decide. And even Thursday was really great. 2 hugely pleasant surprises and 1 day I knew would rule. I'll take it.
