B'ham - cool Course I'll get to see them at VooDoo too! But it might be worth a drive to B'ham too...Have to check to see if it's a weekend or a week night....
anyone else going to see them at the tabernacle? i am thrilled and shocked that they are playing there. they are getting big really fast. the tabernacle is my favorite venue, so i can't wait to see them there.
I will consider making the hour and a half drive to Nashville to see them. They were definitely a band that I saw at Bonnaroo that I really want to see it again.
^^^City Hall is a REALLY small venue too....saw Chris Cornell there. Max 1500 people SRO....will feel like an indoor Bonnaroo If you get there early, you may get lucky and get to hear them do a mini-concert for sound check like we did...you can't miss hearing it....they keep the stage door open....but you won't get past security - I tried

1500 is big for mutemath. theyre playing the tabernacle in atlanta which holds like 3000, i cant wait to see that.
We treat mishaps like sinking ships and I know that I don't want to be out to drift Well I can see it in your eyes like I taste your lips and They both tell me that we're better than this
I'd love to see them in Nashville...tickets aren't on sale yet right?
The only thing that sucks is that city hall's acoustics are horrible, I would much rather see them at cannery or exit/in, but with a band as good as them, it probably won't matter
Bama - How was the Chris Cornell show? we were going to go but couldn't afford it at the time, we heard they had some problems or something?
Yeah, the acoustics do kinda stink at City Hall....best to be right up front or towards the back to get the best sound...in the middle and you'll just get muddle....
Ahh, the "problems" LOL! Well, first off they had little, if ANY A/C the end of May in Nashvegas with 1000+ people jammed in there - notsogood So they had every door and window flung wide open trying to get some breeze going....still not working so well.....then there were a couple of drunks that started fcking with people, then fcking with security and this one guy gets thrown out THREE times....keeps getting back in because....every door is wide open cause there is no A/C! LMAO! And the security guy right in front of me is getting so po'd....it was actually pretty funny to me....but then again I was so into the concert I wasn't paying any attention to all the drama.....Didn't even notice the heat....posted a mini-review on the concert thread about halfway down, excuse the incomplete set list and the typos, it was posted about 3 am the night of the concert!

Wow! Sounds like the show was great despite all the setbacks! Now that you mention it, I remember some friends that went told us about the AC problems. They said people were passing out, I feel bad for those people! ...Man, I wish I could have gone!! My b/f is a big fan of Soundgarden, and me - I was a little too young then to catch most of their stuff except for their hits, but I've always loved Chris's voice. I think I first started listening to him from the MI-2 soundtrack - lol - and checked out Audioslave knowing he was part of the band. I caught them at the 2003? (touring) Lollapalooza but I was so far back, I didn't get the "full" experience. I have a thing for great male voices and his tops my list...his voice makes me swooon! I would have loved to be upfront by you, glad you had such a great time! ...all I can hope for is an appearance at 'Roo '08!!
I can confirm we'll be seeing Mute Math at City Hall, hopefully I'll be seeing some more Inforoo-ers!
Yeah, I forgot about the people passing out, someone close to us did and one of my friends had to leave right after "Fell On Black Days" because she felt light headed - she ended up staying outside the rest of the concert. Which actually wasn't so bad, with all the doors open the sound was probably as good outside as it was most places inside and once the sun went down it was SURELY cooler out there Swoon is right! ;D Me too! The man has an AMAZING voice. I don't think you can truly appreciate it until you hear him sing with just an acoustic guitar.....you WILL get chill bumps even if it is 110 degrees in the room!
Have fun at Mute Math, I think it will be great! Maybe you won't need AC in the fall
