(forewarning mass Rage smiters) I am sorry guys Rage is not a bigger band than Tool IN MY HONEST OPINION. Tool is by far a better fit then rage would at bonnaroo (hell I do not even call Tool a metal band, for heavens sake they are progressive, psychadelic rock with an affinity for heavier riffs at times) If rage did not go away for 6-7 years they would not have the buzz they have right now. Do not get me wrong rage is good, but I would not give my right kidney to see them live. Now Pink Floyd or Zeppelin I might have to reconsider, but rage....nahhhhh. Now lets see how low my karma goes from this opinion.
Karma for you 'cause you took the words right out of my mouth.
Oh, and I saw both bands back-to-back at Coachella in '99. Tool blew RATM away.

I agree with you. No smiting from this Inforooster, just karma!
OK, I just want to ask, for those of you who have seen Rage live...average set length? I mean, I am by no means a RATM expert, but from talking to people who have seen them live, I've never heard of them playing longer than 90 minutes. I mean, people were bit*hing about the length of the headliners this year and even the Police went well over 90 minutes. Once again, please, please correct me if I'm wrong on this one. Just going by word of mouth, which is often incorrect.
Hey, Jude, don't be afraid. You were made to go out and get her. The minute you let her under your skin, Then you begin to make it better.
And any time you feel the pain, Hey Jude, refrain. Don't carry the world upon your shoulders. Well don't you know that it's a fool who plays it cool By making his world a little colder.

I've only seen them once, and that was back at Coachella in '99. I had to do some searching in regards to the length of the show. This is what I found...
Setlist: 01. Testify 02. Guerrilla Radio 03. Bombtrack 04. People Of The Sun 05. Know Your Enemy (Feat. Maynard From Tool) 06. Born Of A Broken Man 07. Bullet In The Head 08. Sleep Now In The Fire 09. No Shelter 10. Bulls On Parade 11. Killing In The Name
Total time was 59 minutes...but that was fine with me 'cause I was there to see TOOL.

I just checked the length of their Coachella 2007 Show, and it looks like the total time was 77:10 minutes with a setlist of...
Set 1 1.Intro 2.Testify 3.Bulls On Parade 4.People Of The Sun 5.Bombtrack 6.Bullet In The Head 7.Know Your Enemy 8.Down Rodeo 9.Guerrilla Radio 10.Renegades Of Funk 11.Calm Like A Bomb 12.Sleep Now In The Fire 13.Wake Up
Set 2 1.Intermission 2.Freedom 3.Township Rebellion (...ignorance reigns...life is lost.) 4.Killing In The Name
I don't think Rage would fit Roo at all.. Their big come back year was this year, I want something new next year.
Yeah. . . while they're a great live band and all, festival-wise, they'll be old news headlining next year. Nearly everyone got a piece of the rage pie this year, and i think if bonnaroo came back with them next year alot of people would be pretty disappointed.

The whole Oyserhead/Police scenario could maybe repeat itself with the Nightwatchman/Rage setup??? Tom seemed like he had a great time last year
Mr. Morrello did seem to enjoy himself, so do you think that after enjoying himself maybe he got the whole troo 'roo experience? If so, i'm not sure he would allow Rage to play being the agro band they are.....
I really don't care either way because there are going to be Rage fans there who would really enjoy the show and I would want nothing more for them to have a good experience....while I more than likely catch something else

As do I. But I would want to see Neil with CSN. CSNY........man I got to see them together before one of them comes close to death again. Luckily those days are done for the most part. But still, I want to see them.

i have seen neil by himself maybe 20 times, and with csn about 15 or so times, and they really are different shows, depending on the makeup of the band is ... what i think is sort of funny or sad, when csn play here by themselves, tics are like 25 or so .. add neil and they double .... neil by himself is always more then csn, as least here ... cr****

Definately. Once Neil gets on the roll call tickets sky rocket. At least Bonnaroo is a one time ticket fee, so it includes all the artists.......but perhaps ticket prices would double.
