DAMMIT!!
This is the second artist to cancel their ACL show due to "exhaustion" I am so disappointed, they were in my top five most anticipated. And I was gonna go see them at Antone's the night before!! GRRRRRR!
** Rodrigo y Gabriela unable to make final leg of US September tour**
Gabriela is suffering from exhaustion after a hectic summer/fall tour schedule and is left with no choice but to cancel the remaining shows in September. Advice from Doctors is to take a few weeks off to relax so she can build up her strength. Gabriela's high energy performances means that she has to be in top physical health to perform to the levels people expect and that she enjoys. Gabriela will be taking a month off to get back in shape for the October tour.
The affected gigs are: September
7 The Marquee, Phoenix, AZ 8 Realto, Tucson, AZ 12 Canes, San Diego, CA 13 The Grove, Annaheim, CA 15 Antones, Austin, TX 16 Austin City Limits, Austin, TX
"I am gutted that I have to take a break from touring. I was really looking forward to these dates but if it means we can do what we've got planned for the rest of the year then I need to take the time off. I want to apologize to our fans, and I hope that everyone understands. We will be back on the road next month." Gabriela

On the schedule, they replaced Amy Winehouse with Cold War Kids (yes!), and they replaced Rodrigo y Gabriela with Common (yes!), so they found very good replacements. ACL redeems.

Amy Winehouse wasn't, in my opinion, very good at Virgin Fest... and so I'd rather see the Cold War Kids anyway (missed'em at Roo) ... and Common is a great replacement!!! Pretty cool
It's great you got such good replacements. When they cancelled RyG here because of visa they just gave us our money back. But I guess they can't do that with ACL. Much the better for you.

Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo............ nothing else could be worse I bought my ticket for 2 reasons... for the aproximately 100 bands I don't know anything about, AND for the 1 band I love above all others out there today
Aw well, no more conflict at 8:30 on Saturday (yeah, like there ever was a conflict )... now I guess I'll have a chance to finally find out what the heck all the Arcade Fire hype is all about... not at all happy about it though- they had better blow me the F*UCK away , that's all I can say
(oh, and best wishes to Jack and Meg, not at all like them to do something like this ???... but, I will say this- it had better not be some bogus exaustion crap)

are you fucking kidding me? seriously wtf!!!! i would have to believe that the replacement should be amazing, because the Stripes are one of the big draws for this fest. I am so f'n pissed!!

Okay, so checked the schedule, and they bumped everyone on that stage up a slot, which means Muse is now Saturday's headliner, which isnt a bad thing, AND they added Dr. Dog (which also isnt a bad thing), but seriously what gives?! I demand compensation!!!!!
