10 acts I would kill myself over if they overlapped (in order as best I could. I would hope they could all come. Also trying to be realistic.) 1.) The Flaming Lips 4.) Robert Randolph & the Family Band 6.) My Morning Jacket 8.) Wolfmother 9.) Jack Johnson BONUS.) R.E.M.
10 acts I would not attend if they were there
3.) Pretty much anyone mainstream and anyone who gets radio play in the US (UK radio rocks the nuts!). If I wanted to hear songs from the radio, I would do just that (unless I really love them). Other than that, I would give anyone else a chance. One of the hardest things to do this year was decide who I wanted to see and when. I'm glad to say that I did not attend The Police this year (though I watched Roxanne, as I made my way to the front of the Which Stage for the greatest night of my life).
Are you meaning to tell me you don't consider Jack Johnson somebody who gets radio play in the US? I know I've heard 6 of your top 10+bonus bands on a radio in the US, and I'm not even counting the classic rock stations cause that'd just be cheesy.
Don't get me wrong, though... I loved your top 10 list! I'm just perplexed by your contradicting statements, that's all. ???

I guess I should explain myself more. The radio stations by me suck. I'm in the only greater metropolis area (of a big city... Philadelphia) in the US without an alternative rock/pop station. Everything is either Spanish, country, classic, or hip-hip/r&b. That being said, I only hear REM on classic rock stations (I don't consider classic rock stations radio, I listen to it all the time. It's the only good thing. And you say it's cheesy, too, so haha.) Wolfmother I love. I was thinking about that contradiction there, but hoped no one would point it out. I can't remember the last time I heard Jack Johnson on the radio, but not anytime since June, that's for sure.
And as I was saying UK radio is the shit... They play Radiohead and The Flaming Lips. I wish I heard them on the radio, but I had to discover them for myself. Same with MMJ and RRFB. I found all of these guys from Bonnaroo.
This man came up to me just the other day, asked me I'd been born again. I told him, "I didn't think I had." That I had been rejected. But I think, Hell's got all the good bands anyway. And Bonnaroo.

Yes’s 1-Tool (would love to see them at roo every year, best show from roo this year IMO) 2-Radiohead (just realizing the beauty of this band, never gave them a big chance till recently) 3-Morphine (this is a wish…rest in peace Sandman, I hope you found your Cure for Pain) 4-Portishead (trip hop at its finest) 5-Deftones/Team Sleep (yes they have some heavy stuff, but I would love to hear there down tempo material at roo…and Team Sleep is Chino’s side band that you have to hear, eerie yet beautiful) 6-Led Zeppelin/Pink Floyd/Cream (all legendary, the only problem would be if roo was there only gigs that it would sell out way to fast and lose a lot of vibe, but if they are just making a stop and going to a bunch of venues in the US by all means come to the farm 30 minutes from me) 7-The Mars Volta (I could see this show going well with pizza toppings) 8-Les Claypool (Primus, Frogs, and Bucket of Bernie Brains all three days) 9-Phish (fan for awhile but broke up before I could experience a live show) 10-Queens of the Stone Age/Eagle of Death Metal (Josh Homme could play two sets over the weekend) 11-Buckethead (in any form, preferably Buckethead with guests and have them shred for a few hours) 12-The Incredible Heat Machine (have to give love to the local band, bring the heat and people will come)
PS-There really are too many bands to list here for me. My ideal list would be pages long.
No’s 1-Smashing Pumpkins (unless it is THE Smashing Pumpkins, not this excuse for a band) 2-Aerosmith (give me Liv Tyler though 3-John Melloncamp (just say no!!) 4-U2 (if you have seen the South Park where they bust Bono pretty bad, well that is what I think of about that band) 5-The Cure (to whiney) 6-B-52s (just shoot me) 7-Milli Vanilli (girl you know it, girl you know it, girl you know it…repeat for a few more minutes…) 8-Wilson Phillips (shudders at thought of this video) 9-ABBA (just say no to bad music) 10-Whoever sings “Total Eclipse of the Heart” ("God help me it is the sound that makes me punch infants!" Dane Cook)
PS-Why the hate for Celine Dion, I am proud that she is able to be famous and be a successfull hermaphrodite in the world.
"That's the big thing about education. People can be book smart, but not really intelligent about anything else. A lot of times they just taking in all this information and regurgitate it. It's much more important to process it and personalize it. To apply it to your world, to your life. You have to walk the walk, or you can't really report about it honestly."

Want:
1. My Morning Jacket (a year off is all Jim and the boys get....lets get yer asses back to the farm!) 2. Clutch (again pleeeease!!) 3. The Mars Volta (number one most demanded band on Inforoo, they are due for THE return) 4. Radiohead (It is NOT too early to bring em back, if WSP can do it, why not?) 5. Daft Punk (Cause I wanna dance, thats why!) 6. Roger Waters (Because Pink Floyd will never happen, and Roger would be one hell of a Sat. night headliner) 7. Cake (yes, yes, and yes) 8. Queens of the Stone Age (ACL set killed, I want them at the farm) 9. Lupe Fiasco (because his Halloween show here in Chicago (with his live band) solidified himself among the hiphop elite) 10. ALO (I love these guys live, you get the feeling you are witnessing so much more everytime you see em)
No Want:
1. Smashing Pumpkins (no James & D'arcy = no Pumpkins) 2. Red Hot Chili Peppers (honestly, they just irritate me, not necessarily the band, but Keidis sucks, and I dont really care to ever see them live again) 3. Rage Against the Machine (I love them, but NOT at the farm, and YES Tool is different...Anger is a Gift? in Manchester? I think NOT!) 4. The Killers (SUCK live, yup.) 5. REM (never really dug em) 6. Bjork (i just DONT care) 7. The Who (maybe in about '70-71) 8. Coldplay (no, no & no) 9. Pitchfork/Indie band of the month (who really gives a sh*t, ooooohhh "they're the next big thing" I dont care, lets stick to the music we'll remember in ten years!!)
I am sure there are others that could be added to ethier list, but this is off the top of my head....
Anyways, why are yous guys putting your top 10 "do not wants" as groups that could, and never would play at Bonnaroo? Can we be a little bit more creative (and realistic)?
Fallout Boy and Celine Dion would never be asked to step foot on the sweet Bonnaroo soil. Let alone sh*t out their mouths on the What Stage.
Awww! C'mon....dontcha ever just want to break out into a little "Dancing Queen"??? ;D You KNOW you do
PS-Why the hate for Celine Dion, I am proud that she is able to be famous and be a successfull hermaphrodite in the world.
