top 10
1. Led Zeppelin (how can you resist?) 2. Talking Heads 3. Radiohead 4. Clapton+Winwood 5. David Gilmour/ Roger Waters 6. Neil Young 7. Modest Mouse 8. The Arctic Monkeys 9. Daft Punk 10. Dispatch
bands i dont want to see (not that i necessarily think they are terrible, i just dont want to see at bonnaroo)
Pearl Jam, The Foo Fighters, The Cure, Smashing Pumpkins, Amy Winehouse, Incubus, i dunno there are others but im not worried about small acts during the day...there are plenty of shows to see then
basically, i just dont want a headliner that sucks a la the police last year, and theres no other shows going on

Hi. I have been lurking around here for a week or two and have decided to join. I figure this would be a pretty good thread to start in.
Yes 1.Iron and Wine 2.The Shins 3.Jack Johnson 4.Neil Young/CSNY 5.M. Ward [or whatever band he is supposedly forming with Conor Oberst.] 6. Chris Walla [solo] 7. Roger Waters/David Gilmour. Something Pink Floyd 8. Beastie Boys 9. REM 10. Built to Spill [extras] Roky Erickson and Led Zeppelin, because well, it would be amazing. A dream come true.
No or, at least I would not go see them. 1. WSP 2. Dave Matthews Band [although a Dave and friends type deal would be cool.] 3. Arcade Fire 4. Rage 5. OAR 6. Amy Winehouse

At least for me, the charm of Bonnaroo is not that there is one type of music that brings one kind of person, its that there are basically all styles of music and people from all walks of life living it up together. Personally, I'm not a big jam band fan, and my apologies if that tramples on the Bonnaroo Constitution or isn't to your personal taste. I'm certainly not stopping you from seeing them.
^ oh we jammy types know we've become the minority at Bonnaroo. I think he was just trying to point out that without those jammy bands there would be no Bonnaroo.
To get a little props for the 'scene' that started it all... and gets forgotten about a lot

Right, as stated above, I understand that, and more power to you if you like those jammy bands. But I'm pretty sure Bonnaroo isn't my old high school, and we can all have a good time without having to divide into separate musical cliques. So even though I don't like your jam-rock, we can still rock out with our cocks out without people having to call the karma police on me.
