I don't know how well this would go over but I think that if Bonnaroo really wanted to make sure that it was indeed the best music festival in America and really wanted to take it to the next level they would get The Chemical Brothers to headline the main stage next year one of the nights. For me, someone who love all sorts of music, this would be amazing. I mean Tool was a pretty big risk this past year and I think it was a great choice. What do other Rooers think about this. Would Bonnaroo be taking too much of a risk with getting a band like that or do you think that the majority of people would love something to dance their asses off.
I just saw them last night in Chicago so I am still on a little high. Their show is f*cking brilliant. See them if you get a chance.
Has a DJ ever been on either main stage? I mean if enough people at Roo like them (which I'm sure there are plenty) they could maybe pull off a Which Stage midnight show. Other than that I'd love to see them in the same slot that DJ Shadow had.
Edit: And why isn't this a "Yay Or Nay?" Has the fad run it's course, jk.

Yeah, I just don't see that happening at Bonnaroo. DJs haven't exactly been featured acts, with last year being the closest thing. And the Chemical Brothers would have to undergo a Daft Punk-esque revival stateside for them to be featured in any capacity at Bonnaroo.

This new tour they are on pretty much compares to Daft Punk's show. No robots but the visuals were absolutely amazing. I actually thought this show I saw was better than Daft's Lolla show. Maybe because I saw Daft at Coachella and knew what to expect. In any event, it seems that Bonnaroo is taking chances with their lineups lately so it wouldn't surprise me if they took a chance on a major electronic headliner or a pretty good midnight slot act. Chems would be the perfect choice.

I saw the Chems last weekend and their show is out of this world amazing.... if you the roo gods know whats what the chems should at very least have late night show.....

I'd like to see some combination of Chemical Bros, Crystal Method, Daft Punk, Underworld, Massive Attack, and Portishead play a headline spot & a late night stage back-to-back.
but they would never not headline a show, imo. they're huge in europe and to play some sort of late night tent set wouldn't really fly with them. just my opinion, maybe it could work out.
am I the only one here wanting DJ Tiesto? the chemical brothers or any DJ act on a large stage would be amazing..... I want something electronic though, the portion of the shadow show I saw was for some reason really sad. I kept walking and caught girl talk which was pretty cool though

not to mention dj shadow played a SICK set....(imo)
Well... after hearing the new stuff, I've gotta say no.
Man, what happened to these guys?!?
Dude, it's easy to shrug off. They work it really well into their live sets. To be honest I had not listened to much of their material prior to going to their show, only knowing that they are huge in the UK for a reason.
It was probably my most solid show this year - enjoyed it much more than Daft Punk (and way, way more than Justice).
Has anyone seen Fatboy Slim's Big Beach Boutique II? It was on some movie channel last night and was amazing. I read somewhere that there were like 125000 people at that show. That would be a nice set for bonnaroo, he knows how to please a crowd
I think the Chemical Brothers would be an EXCELLENT addition to the Roo. Now that I'm not a Roo newb, I can't wait for June to get here. I guess Langerado will have to tide me over.

Is there any improv. when they play live? From the videos on Youtube it seems like they are just playing their albums, maybe a few changes here or there like building up some sections longer. Regardless, I'd be happy as a pig in sh!t if they played.
