I know Bonnaroo doesn't like to do back-to-back repeats of acts, but does anyone besides me believe that STS9 deserves and SHOULD repeat this year @ a late-night set? IMO, it would be a great disservice to the attendants of 08 if we weren't given the chance to party to STS9 till the sun comes up!

I know that's not what you meant to say, but that's how I feel. STS9 is good (he says diplomatically...), but we need fresh faces. This is especially important for the latenights, I believe.

I wouldn't mind it because I missed them this past year-nothing was gonna make me miss my last chance at seeing SCI-but I'm okay with them having bands play years back-to-back, I just don't think the chances for another latenight spot 2 years in a row is very likely. Now if this were 2002-2004, and these were the first few Bonnaroo's, I'd say it would probably be more likely.
I would LOVE it if that happened, but I have no idea how likely it would be. I didn't get a chance to see them last year. I downloaded their 07 set and listened to it for the first time last night. I WISH I made it to the show. The recording sounded amazing.

Superfly does repeat offenders all the time. Last year was a rare exception that may or may not reflect the direction their headed with the lineup.
That said, I don't think they will or should bring back STS9 in the late night slot. It's a special time for bands to play, and they need to keep it fresh from year to year. New blood.
I have always wanted to see them, but I missed them last year for NYE in Atlanta, skipped them over SuperJam this past Bonnaroo, and now I am in Hawai'i(which is awesome) and going to miss STS9 for NYE in Atlanta again, but I am going to go see The Mars Volta for NYE in San Francisco so its not that bad, BUT I would love to see Sound Tribe because I have heard many great things about their shows.

I'm with Moe Train in that it would be cool to see some different late night acts. STS9 doesn't do much for me personally. Then again, having them back would make some of you guys happy and eliminate one late night conflict for me. So I could go either way...

It's going to shock me if they did. I hope STS9 is there again though. I heard the show was great but I was at Galactic the whole time.
They're playing four nights at this club in Atlanta right now and they sold out three of them (I think.....). I was there last night passing out flyers for the Dubconscious NYE show to get credit for my free Langerado ticket. ^ Off-topic, but fu@k it.
Yeah, we went to the 1 of the 4 nights in Atlanta. Absolutely fantastic show. I liked it a whole lot more than Bonnaroo. Tickets were outrageous. $100-$175 per ticket on the street. The ticket brokers were offering just about anything for tickets. STS9 is building a hard-core following that promoters like Superfly won't ignore.
BTW, the same nights, people were giving away Widespread tickets. WP was playing in a much bigger venue, though. Damn fun in ATL that night.
